It was so weird and anticlimatic for them to suddenly flash to the Finish Line and POOF. Tammy/Victor win. WTF.

LACK OF SUSPENSEFUL FINISH LINE EDITTING HATE! *spoiler* |
Lead | |

Zzz. Omg. I can't believe they couldn't insert the few seconds whereby they show all teams racing to the Finish Line and "pretending" for it
to be close. To make things worse, the teams were ACTUALLY close this time around...

I liked that they didn't do the usual artificially close edit. It was actually more poignant.

It's not like the fake suspenseful edits ever fooled anyone to begin with.

They weren't close. Even so, I think they made it that way so Luke/Bob could get more 'waa waaa i hope ur proud of me' bullshit.

The fake edits never fool anyone, but at least they still feel exciting. This time it was such a snooze - slow, weepy music from the moment the two losing
teams finished the task.
ETA: But watching the two most obnoxious people on the entire race weep on the way to the finish line was CLASSIC!

I switched it off after the winners got to the finish -- didn't want to see the remaining losers!

I was going to post LACK OF SUSENSEFUL FINISH LINE EDITING APPRECIATION!
Did anyone really believe the 5 minutes of Eric/Danielle saying "zomg there's a red light, we're so last!12!" while the BQ said "it's going really smoothly, we're going to win!" we've had in the past? Melodramatic music commemorating Luke's idiocy was much more appropriate. |

I agree and I loved the way this finale ended.
There was a fatalism to it. By the time they got back to their respective taxis, the game was over. Luke was collapsing in depression and Jaime became deflated with self-retribution. Their fates were sealed and everyone was resigned to that. Meanwhile, T/V were on the best taxi ride of their lives and they knew it, they waited for their bliss, their happiness as palpable as the rays of light from a sunset. A great capo. I couldn't even finish watching last season. This season was much better. |

I have to disagree, it was definitely suspenseful. The way to the finish line didn't have to be suspenseful, coz the heart pumping was all on the surfboard
challenge.
Without the spoilers, I'm pretty sure everyone would have thought for sure Margie/Luke won it, since when Victor arrived, Luke already answered 10 surfboards correctly. |

yeah the real suspense was in the surfboard challenge
i actually liked the way this ended for some reason <3 They should stick to doing stuff like this unless it is actually close (eg. TAR2) |

I felt it was anyone's win at that point. I still can't believe how much time Jamie and Cara made up on that RB. I would have liked a little traffic or something edit to make us feel Victor and Tammy were slowed down before running to the mat. |
