CA 2 Episode 11: Botox vs. Ho-Tox - SEASON FINALE W00T!

So now I am more sure of it, and just what was promised. She knew she could say anything at the end and still come out winner. She was vile the whole time and so hateful. Wouldn't let Annie get a word in. That being said, I went in to this not liking Annie, and yes, I know who she is and am a big fan of poker. I came away from it knowing that even though she has a Type A personality and does manipulate, she is no where near the bitch and skank that Joan is. I didn't care who won, up until the Melissa melt down. Then I saw the writing on the wall. Trump is a weasel and clearly was not going to listen to anything negative about Joan. (the event planner debacle) I know it won't hurt him or anyone else, but next season I will use the hours of his show to do something productive. It sure won't be on my t.v.

My problem however, is that all these reality shows I love are devolving from competition to popularity contest. On Survivor they have no control over the outcome, so they fixed that by giving a cash prize to the most popular castaway every season. On Big Brother, they realized how popular the Sovs were that they started rigging the game in their favor. They failed, so every season from there on out they made sure to twist the game as it goes so that the most popular HG wins in the end. Sad part is that I can't even blame the networks. Ratings are what keep these shows alive, and they keep ratings up by making the most popular contestants win to appease the cry baby average audience who wants a fairy tale happy ending. Which kinda goes against the point of reality TV if you ask me. It's like when you're playing a game with a bunch of kids and you tell the older ones to forfeit so that the youngest kid can win and not throw a temper tantrum. But I guess we have to get used to it. Too many "Ambers" have won these shows at the hands of the most popular contestants back in the day and reality TV realized that if this kept happening, the audience would storm off into their rooms, lock the doors, cry and never watch these shows again.

Take some C and D list celebs, some people looking to expand a showbiz career from something crappy (like reality), some people who NBC owns, a few "used to be" singers and sports figures, and boom, you have your cast. I'm more concerned with how they'll top all the fireworks from this season without putting a complete ringer like Omarosa on the show.

She proved that she's a competitor (Annie was already an obvious competitor) and she proved that she can overcome her faults and put together a great charity event. Annie did a good job, too, but she seems like a race horse that would wear out her friend's checkbook. Joan has the connections, reputation and will to be a giver a lot longer than Annie. In the long run, it doesn't matter since The Donald is always right.

Herschel was the only valuable member on her team and if not for him, Trump would have had an even harder time justifying Joan's win. Herschel had his connection buy all the tickets to "give away" to freeloaders on the street. Herschel came up with the idea to use impersonators. Herschel's connections were probably the only real money that came in, too, I'm sure. If Trump refused to give the fake win to Annie, who deserved it the most, then he should have named Herschel the winner, as he was the MVP of the finale.

I wonder if Joan wrote that letter to his mom yet, for raising such a wonderful man, wonder what kind of letter she'd write to Annie's mom....

Annie is in for the quick big bang buck, Joan will have the donors coming back year after year after year. One leaves Annie's event feeling wrung out. One leaves Joan's event and wishes they could go back for more fun the very next night.

Joan couldn't get any fucking donors, remember her 2nd task as a PM? Her last event was put on by her charity people. For being around so long, it's pretty shitty that she couldn't squash anyone with ease when it came to contacts.
