I don't watch survivor. I didn't think it sucked. Then, I had to write this message to them.

Excuse me, but is the staff that creates the challenges on this show full of people who failed their high school math classes? I don't appreciate the lack of faith you have in your viewers. You must have assumed we wouldn't notice the lack of foresight in the answer to the immunity challenge math question. Indeed, there will probably not be many who notice this flaw in simple algebra, but this is a blaring testament to the expectation you have of your viewers.
6 + 2 / 4 x 3 / 3 - 7 + 6 + 5 / 3 - 1 x 1
This was the question that won the man the immunity challenge.
If you're an idiot, like the host, like the person who solved it, and like most of the stupefied viewers, you'd think the answer is 1.
NO. We cannot lower our standards this far. This is ridiculous. The answer is NOT 1. In all the excitment of the challenge, everybody, producers included, forgot the overwhelming necessity in math for THE ORDER OF OPERATIONS.
For your information, because you can obviously not figure this out on your own, the answer is:

Stop lowering the bar and keep to challenges that involve all the brains of an ox. You can't seem to provide for challenges that merit any higher education than mean 8th grade algebra.
I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but this represents all that is wrong with the countries entertainment, a problem you've obviously been perpetuating: Your viewers probably won't notice the error. Hell, your contestants didn't even notice, and they have (HAD) a million dollars at stake.
I'd like this to be brought to attention on the last episode of "survivor," so as to correct the error as best as now possible. If not, there is a flaw in whoever won on the show. However, it is far too late for that. Whoever wins now is doomed to be tainted by the idiot mistake that may have cost them the entire game-- or made their entire game. In any case, the results are tainted. The game is tainted irreversibly due to a simple math problem that everyone answered wrong, even the person with the answer key.
You messed up. COMPLETELY. I, personally will never watch your show again, but I do hope that you could at least try to raise the bar a little higher than simple algebra. For the love of god, have a higher expectation of your viewers. It's insulting of you to presume that you don't expect us to catch an error like that.
