Aaron and Arianne were just annoying, especially Aaron. Eve was useless, and dragged down Heather, who was awesome. Gina and Sylvia were pretty bland.
Dennis & Andrew were pretty incompetent, never finishing above 8th. Michael and Kathy were bland and unmemorable, although Kathy was cute. Andre &
Damon were boring, and weaker than expected.

Michael and Kathy <3. I have a personal reason for liking this particular team, but I can't say what it is.

That is tempting. Do you serve smörgåsbords, too? |

If I haven't already stated my love for Michael/Kathy, then I'll do it now. They also had the best website of any former racers (but it's probably
gone now).
Broken ox, I'll give you, but Kami & Karli overrated? They're one of my favorite unintentional comedy teams ever. They're one of the few exceptions--before Jaime/Cara came around they were my favorite female team, and they're still my TAR5 favorites. I actually wouldn't even count Colin/Christie as overrated either...or Bob/Joyce, or Jim/Marsha, or Marshall/Lance, or Brandon/Nicole. Ok, so more than half the teams are not overrated. The overall season though isn't quite as awesome as it's made out to be. It's still top 4 and there aren't any dud episodes but it's never quite wowed me the way it has most TAR fans (but in fairness I didn't watch it when it first aired). Also, the WonderTwins rock. That is all. |

The only interesting parts of TAR3 were the last few episodes while TAR5 was interesting from beginning to end. Saying that,
TAR5>>>>>>>>>>>>TAR3
And also, only TAR3, along with TAR6, had a 6th placer that weren't my favorites. |

and as we all know the true measure of a season is who finishes sixth

Rewatched episode 4...Still was an entertaining clusterfuck. I really wished that H/E didn't fuck up, and A/A could have left a couple episodes earlier.
But what can you do?
Andre and Damon were hilarious at the detour with the Eve bashing, Michael had some more funny sound bites that I must have completely missed before, Ken and Gerard/Derek and Drew really shined as the best TAR alliance of all time, and this was the episode where Teri and Ian started becoming my favorite team ever. Hurrah! |

Watching Aaron cry on the side of the road in the middle of the night is worth them being spared elimination. There being no possible way for A/A to catch up in their elimination leg <3 |

But...they were still on my TV. I'm going to have to sit through their BS once again for two more episodes.

They're not as annoying in their last two episodes because they're so worried about elimination. <3

TAR14 would have been much better if they'd inserted shots of Aaron/Arianne saying "there's still time to catch up!!" even tho they were
several years behind and on a different racecourse.

(but even better if the finale ended with them actually passing luke as years passed and he was still unable to finish the final roadblock) |

Because of TS, I rewatched episode 304 - it's a lot better than what I remember (it was always good, but overshadowed by the following episode). It (and
the equally stellar 308) really benefits from the midleg bunch, because of the potential for order-shuffling with the RB and walking to the Pit Stop (303 had
this to a lesser degree, but Derek/Drew and Dennis/Andrew were so far ahead/behind that it was somewhat negated).

The bunching in 303 was of the top 6 teams. JVJ were on the second bus alone, and Teri and Ian/Andre and Damon were left to fight it out for last since Dennis and Andrew were so far behind. I liked the episode, but it wasn't anywhere close to the craziness post train in 304. |
