I felt kinda bad for Kate. Jack basically dissed her & let her go & then she gets stuck on the sub having to watch Sawyer & Juliet be there for each other.

I really cannot fathom how anyone can feel sorry for Kate. SurvivorArctic pretty much nailed it.

All the Jack/Kate stuff really got to me tonight actually... tremendously well played by Fox and Lily.I agree. It was sad. I couldn't help but laugh a little when Jack said "enough of it was [misery]" though. Just a little laugh.... then I felt sorry for Jack. Fluffy, it won't last long. Didn't I hear Juliet giving Sawyer shit for looking at Kate? (in the previews) Jack may be done with Kate. Sawyer, probably not. |

OK, maybe I'm late to the party on this one but I didn't see anyone else post it...
When Locke asked Richard if this was the entire group or if there were more and he said there are some people up at the temple...I got a 'older-versions-of-70s-Losties group' vibe from that. Anyone else? |

maybe he was just referring to Eloise and Charles (with Jack & Kate) who were over at the temple

Kate being rejected by the two guys she used for her own selfish reasons may be the best thing to happen this episode, and there were quite a few awesome
moments.
Edit: Especially if it encourages her to kill herself. |

Man, Kate manages to fuck up Sawyer/Juliet's happy ending.

Looked like Ben was eying Richard's job by telling on him to Locke.

Ben just can't stop being Ben-ish. He must be a shit stirrer.
I <3 Ben. Especially since we learned that The Temple turned him all cold as a kid. |

I wonder if Locke's statement about killing Jacob has anything to do with what Jacob told him: "Help me." That is still in the air. Why did
Jacob want help?
I hope Jack brought along the Dummies Guide for setting off a 50's era H-Bomb. Those things are so touchy... Where are Rose and Bernard? |

Poor Kate --- Jack basically implied that he rather have her rot in jail than to ever know her. I can see how that wouldn't sit too well with her.
I keep thinking that Jacob is someone "stuck" in time --- perhaps Locke himself. Christian speaks for Jacob, and Richard is the adviser. Ben clearly has just been playing that he can talk to Jacob, and that is why he originally tried to kill John when Jacob said "Help Me." Why would Jacob need Locke's help? Why would Locke want to kill him? I think that Jacob = Locke I have to say that I love Ben tonight ---- so neutered, so pissed, so conniving. <3 Ben |

Since the Hostiles/Others seem to blindly follow Jacob without proof of his existence, I've always thought of him as a Godlike character. If Locke wants to
kill Jacob, doesn't that make Locke the Devil?

Could Locke just be setting Ben up? The Island told Ben to follow Locke whatever he said, so if Ben rats him out or tries to kill him again, then Alex can come
back and kill Ben! Then Jacob and Locke can knock back a couple Coors talking about how Locke tricked Ben into thinking he wanted to kill Jacob.
Yeah, that's it... |

Dunno about the Purge, but it's looking like Jack and Eloise might be responsible for the incident.
