David Cook announced today that his brother has lost his 10 year battle with brain cancer. My heart goes out to the Cook family and I am glad that David's brother got to live long enough to see his brother become a star. And David was always a class act who never sought sympathy votes.

David announced it this morning before participating in the Brain Cancer Race for Life charity event in Washington, D.C. Cook's team raised $97,000 for brain cancer research. David had taken time in March to spend with his brother, cancelling a couple of tour dates.

Maybe it might get back to David that his fans here feel for his and his family's loss. I lost a gradmother to cancer. I can't imagine how it must feel to lose a 36 year old brother.
