iPhones are unexpandable toys for trendy morons who enjoy letting Apple take them anally every time they buy an app through the App Store. Remember,
jailbreaking is illegal!
Blackberries are for pretentious trendy idiots who don't mind coughing up an extra $30/month (minimum) over standard unlimited data PDA rates to get that supercool Blahberry email address. The Storm is probably the worst touch-screen phone on the market, other than the LG Vu. Real dorks go with the good WinMo phones. My weapon of choice is the HTC Fuze (AT&T's version of the Touch Pro). Touch screen (with both screen-based and sliding QWERTY keyboard), WiFi, Blackberry Connect, no proprietary licensing to deal with, thousands of free apps, storage capacity up to 32gb, etc. It's pretty much the shit. |

The Nokia 6555. S'alright. It makes phone calls, takes pictures, etc. I want an iPhone but apparently I have to be within six months of the end of my contract in order to switch handsets and keep my contract. Otherwise it's get a new contract or buy the thing for $49,999.99. Stupid Fido. |

Best phone ever. I've had heaps of different "flash" phones and I always go back to this. It has speaking clock and the best ringtone ever (soulful). I hope it never ever breaks or I'll be devastated

Agreeance with Harold - Apple morans will slurp up Steve Job's crap because it is shiny and they use it on televisions shows and whatever. I don't know
why I never got behind Apple, being an American success story with well designed gizmos. I guess their closed architecture was always a turn off.
As a system admin I integrate iPhones, Blackberries and WinMo phones. I tried to force the WinMo standard because it integrates so easily with our Exchange server, but Noooooo... the pretentious asshats had to have their toys and I had to set up a Blackberry server. My personal phone is a years old VX8300 - It is indestructible! 
For work my baby threw my Treo 750W into the garbage, so I 'upgraded' to an 800W - It is the biggest POS Palm product ever and I used to LOVE Palm! I reboot it daily. All the software is buggy. The only saving grace is my ability to tether using PDANet and, hopefully better, use the phone as a WiFi access point via WalkingHotspot software. 
I have my fingers crossed that the Palm Pre will turn things around although I'm wary of a brand new OS...

To be fair, I have to reboot my phone daily as well (if I've been using it heavily), but that's Windows for you. All of the other minor personal preference problems have been easily addressed with a few tweaks, thanks to xda-developers.com. AT&T doesn't seem to notice if you use the tethering feature (at least on a limited basis) without paying for the use-specific plan. I haven't tried using it as a hotspot yet, but I'm sure there's an app for that. |
