She didn't let the judge/instructor lady brush her (FAIL) and she barked twice when I left her alone with a stranger for 3 minutes (FAIL).
This is soo epic.

I thought this was a call out thread.

I'm too despondent to call anyone out

Is that like obedience school? When I was a kid we had a dog who in day to day life was the most disobedient beast in the world but take him to the obedience
shows and he pulled out all the stops. Champion Trapper John CDE (Companion Dog Excellent) was his name. He was a Nova Scotia Duck Toller.

I KNEW IT!
I've never got anything but bad, aggessive vibes off those kind of sheep dogs. Australian sheepdogs (BLUE HEELERS....the Mad Max kind) have always been nice to me. |

This is the test:
The things each dog is tested on are listed below: * Accepting a friendly stranger: a key in good neighbor relations with adults and children. Owner shakes hand with a friendly stranger. * Patiently sitting for petting: a test for shyness and restraint. * Appearance & grooming: The owner's care & sense of responsibility show in how he or she keeps their dog. * Out for a walk: illustrates handler's control of the dog. * Walking through a crowd: shows that the dog moves around in a crowd without being unduly distressed and is under handler control. * Commands: sit, down, stay, come: this illustrates that the dog has been trained and responds well to its handler/owner. * Praise/interactions: shows the dog's relationship with its owner and that it can be calmed down easily. * Reaction to passing dogs: this test demonstrates that the dog behaves politely around other dogs. * Distractions: shows that the dog is confident when faced with common distractions. * Supervised isolation: this test shows that the dog can be left with someone other than its usual handler & will maintain its training & good manners. lola is a very nice dog to everyone but she was shy of the judge lady for some neurotic Border Collie reason. |

My doggy woulda failed that test 10 times over.
such a bad dog <3 |

My pug would fail on "Reaction to passing dogs" for sure. The dumbass is always rude to strange dogs, even Rottweilers. He has an inflated sense of
his own size and importance.

Pudge sometimes says "Hello" by humping them. Is that acceptable?

My favorite:
"That is SOOO weird. My dog never acts aggresive to strangers." .....right after their dog pinned you to the wall nearly tearing into your leg. |

Every time I see a Rottweiler or Pitbull, I give them a wide berth, especially if they are with some degenerate looking type. Some people have those dogs the
way others carry a loaded gun.

The Electric Witch wrote:No doubt! I had a friend in high school with a Rottweiler and I remember when she called me all teary that it had died I offered her soothing comforting noises but was secretly doing a happy little dance. That thing was a nightmare. One wrong move and she would sink her teeth into you. She didn't like when people would leave the house so she would grab you by the foot and drag you back. We were all terrified of that thing. |

I think murphy would pass that test, although sometimes when I say sit, he lays down instead. he'll try anything in his repertory for food.

Butch Tiberius PugDog. He'll try anything in his repertoire for food too but is not really the sharpest knife in the drawer so his repertoire is fairly limited. |
