I think the scheduling of the show is excellent. The one thing I'm worried about is people not "getting" the singing (even though the concept of the show is...duh......a show choir). I really hope this show lasts.

The glee teacher raps a Kanye west song in a future episode. I hope Fox releases the extended version of the pilot on Itunes.

The Spanish teacher planting the pot on the jock totally reminded me of the sort of thing Matthew Broderick's character would have done, too. So much gold to mine here, between the teachers' characters and the kids and the use of music to punctuate the plot and themes. Glad I at least have this to look forward to on the sucky fall schedule. I thought it was an amazing balancing act between cynicism and romanticism. Just like high school.

I enjoyed the hell out of the show. I love the cast, and yeah, Leslie Grossman would be an awesome addition to the show if they found a part for her. Mary Cherry was the best part of Popular.

What they did which I knew they'd do is re-arrange some of the scenes to make the storytelling more linear. In the extended cut, a lot of scenes were out of order or told through "flashback" and it just worked brilliantly. If that link someone posted is indeed the version I saw, I highly recommend everyone watch it to compare.

And it really surprised me that it was an hour long. Is it going to be a regular hourlong show? To me that is a mistake. They lost me during the homelife of the teacher with his wife. Cut that stuff and the full performance numbers and maybe they got something.
