Would it surprise you if you went to a foreign country and nobody spoke English?
Or....should the show be making sure there is always someone around who can speak English?

Well, since the evil bitch judge was screwing them out of a first place finish, I don't blame them at all for asking if anyone spoke English in the crowd.

If you aren't dong the dance right....does it really matter if the judge says "Yeah....you messed it up." other than just saying "No".

kmill wrote:"Slight misunderstanding" ? You mean like the "slight misunderstanding" during the sign-making task in TARAS where Romber's judge screwed up, causing the producers to insert a last-minute voice-over saying that "spelling counts" ? And asking to see if anyone spoke English is a bad move, when all the jealous judge said was "No" ? Try again, dumbass. |

"Slight misunderstanding" ? You mean like the "slight misunderstanding" during the sign-making task in TARAS where Romber's judge screwed up, causing the producers to insert a last-minute voice-over saying that "spelling counts" ? Three things: 1 - The sign making task was objective, whereas the dancing was/is/always will be objective. 2 - They had the order of the cities incorrect anyway, meaning that even if they had spelled Philippines correctly, they would still have been wrong. 3 - Their terrible time at the other Detour and Rob's shitty luck at the RB were bigger factors in their elimination. |

They would have a translator to speak local language to English which they understand.

I really can't believe you remember the legs from that many seasons ago. I can barely remember the winners.

Oowatanite wrote: Rebuttal to point A - dancing = subjective; sign-making = objective. Rebuttal to point B - Given a reference point, why would you even misspell the words? Why even risk it? If they had put down 'Fillapeens' for 'Philippines' should it have been counted too? Rebuttal to point C - Had they done the navigating Detour from the jump OR switched earlier OR not done such a shitty job *with* said Detour, they might not have been last. Point C.2 - Weren't other teams also saddled with additional cameras/personal/teams? Point D - Would CBS really rig the race against Romber? |

For fucks sake, this isn't about Romber. They didn't follow directions and switched detours, so they had to do a separate one. They didn't do two
of them, because they never did the first one right anyways. Also they were with ANOTHER team so that team was also weighed down in the ride over to the
Roadblock in that leg. That certainly didn't cause them to fall to last and get eliminated, but Romber failed because they sucked at the Roadblock. Rob
threw PILES of letters away and didn't search through them all, meaning he could have very well missed one of his letters.
And Cara/Jaime were told they did not complete the dance correctly. It's not the judge's job to say what they did wrong, they didn't show teams what they did wrong during the gymnastics task when they fucked up, they just did the part again. |

Um, can you Google Earth me that alley's location? I am in the market for a sassy, gorgeous, well-built, firm, toned, intelligent redhead! No such creature exists. Anywhere. You would have to build it but then I would destroy it, so save yourself the heartache and find a brunette. |
