Maybe people connect Endless Love to Gokey's dead wife. The pimp spot also helps immensely in lackluster seasons like this one. I'm not sure if Lil would be leaving without the pimp spot, she does have her own niche (albeit a rapidly narrowing niche -- I don't know how anyone who enjoys R&B divas could vote for her), but it can't hurt.

She might have a ceiling but I don't think we've reached that point yet. I'm pretty sure that Matt is going home tonight, I would question if Kris would get saved but he was at the bottom last week in much worse shape. This is the highest Anoop has been all season but I could see him falling to three, I can also see Lil dropping below him and falling to 2.

If these are anywhere close to right: Anoop's safe. His numbers stayed middle-to-high (i.e., had a fairly high number of busy signals) through the night. That consistency means his fans are voting for the entire 2-hour period. Lil's safe. She started near the top and ended on top. Danny and Adam are in the middle. They're safe because, well, they're Danny and Adam. That leaves Allison, Matt and Kris. No shocker, really. Allison's numbers started higher than theirs and fell, so that might indicate that her fans didn't vote as aggressively as the 2-hour period drew to a close. Could be complacency, could be lukewarm support, could have been bedtime; who knows. So the B3 is Allison, Matt and Kris, with one of the guys going home.

If you look at the numbers of votes it's recording it's very very low. I don't think as many people are using it, because less people even have modems at all, and because the contestants aren't likable enough for anyone to bother. I also think the lines have opened up for everyone enough that there aren't really busy signals at all after the first 15 minutes. People calling for an hour and getting three votes in isn't happening at all, and a lot of the tweenies with unlimited text plans are texting most of their votes. It's just as easy to predict the bottom three based on who the judges like and who has an obvious fanbase than with dialidol.

I could hear that it was getting busy signals several times yet DI registered 0 busy signals. This and text messaging gives me a little hope that Allison will not be in the B3 after all.

Top 8 Hard graph showed Adam/Danny/Lil start at the top and end at the top, Anoop started near the top (higher) and ended on mid/high, Allison/Matt started high and ended right in the middle, and Kris/Scott started at the bottom and ended at the bottom. Lil, Anoop and Scott were in the bottom three, so the graphs really didn't seem too accurate in predicting the B3. DialIdol seems increasingly useless as this season goes on, with margins of error far too large for any meaningful data. I've noticed that contestants have almost zero recorded votes (let alone busy signals) after the two hours of voting finishes on the East coast. (After the first two hours, Allison had received 43,000 votes. After voting finished in Hawaii, she had only recorded 5000 more. On average I'd say 85% of the votes are recorded in the first two hours.) Thus, DialIdol seems to be only accounting for the demographic of everyone in the EST. It is not a representative sample. Additionally, if you look at "GeoPredictions" and set it to "Predicted Loser", DialIdol seems to be predicting Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud as the losers most often (the loser is predicted by whomever has the lowest DI score). Anoop/Allison/Kris are only the predicted loser in one/two states a piece. Given this info, I'm not sure how Lil Rounds' DialIdol score seems to be so high and how Kris and Allison appear to be so low. It is interesting to note that Allison and Kris (and Adam) get the most total votes through DI every week and Lil gets the fewest total votes every week. It just seems like DialIdol doesn't have a representative or large enough sample to have any sort of accurate predictive power.
