If Texas were to secede from the union, how many texans per year would be allowed to emigrate to the union? How many union citizens would be allowed to
emigrate to Texas.
Or would it be one of those deals where citizens have to be in either country at midnight on a pre-determined date? Texas would become redder and the states would become bluer. And wouldn't the black folk get ticked off over having to choose between staying in Texas or having a black president? |

Does Kinky still have a band? I saw Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys at the gone-but-never-forgotten Main Point in Bryn Mawr many years ago. And I do
mean many.

Maybe we can have an 'Adopt a Yankee' thread for those Texans who don't care about the election but are willing to go vote. You know, sorta like
the old 'Adopt a Canook' thread over at the American Idol forum.

On Apr-17-09 at 15:17:16 PDT, seller added the following information:
A question was posed by a potential buyer: Can Texas be moved? Answer: Yes, Shipping is extra but please consult your local zoologist and botanist in the geographic zone you wish to move Texas to as many of her plants and animals do not do well outside their native climate range. In other words, there are no refunds on dead cactus and prairie dogs. |

Will somebody explain to me how publicly threatening to secede from the United States isn't seen as a mild form of treason, or, at very least, retardation?
Why does Rick Perry think characterizing himself as a lunatic will help him get elected. Ms. Hutchinson must be grinning ear to ear this week.

The United States would become a blue-state utopia if Texas wasn't around. It would be great. Then, without the Federal Government to protect the common
man from being exploited by the rich, Texas would become a third-world cesspoll like Mexico, and suddenly we would have to build a wall between Texas and the
US to keep them all from crossing over illegally.
