Mel Gibson's Wife Files for Divorce

After 28 years, seven kids -- and, no doubt, a gross overuse of the term "sugar tits" -- Mel Gibson and his wife Robyn Moore are divorcing.
Moore filed the papers early Monday in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences," TMZ.com reports.
The couple has yet to reveal the reasons for the split -- although if we were Moore, we could think of a few: a certain Russian pop star he was recently photographed embracing, that pesky DUI business, Apocalypto.
They did, however, release the following pat statement to People: "Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so."
The couple has had seven children together since marrying in 1980. According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Moore is seeking joint custody of their nine-year-old son (their other six kids are all over the age of 18). She's also hoping to secure spousal support - which, considering the lack of a pre-nup, could see Moore taking away nearly $500 million U.S. According to Radaronline.com, Gibson is worth some $900 million, and according to California law, Moore is entitled to half of his assets.
