I'm not pro Perez or Miss California. I'm anti stupidity. You should not be able to announce that you are a bigot and win. She should have
excersized some tact. There are ways to answer without answering so not to offend anyone you represent and I thought that was always the goal in these
situations.

It's Miss USA. They're not there for their brains or their opinions. Miss America's where they're supposed to have some sort of

She also said that we live in a country where we have a choice. And well...besides the folks in those four or five states, we don't really have that choice, do we? Californians certainly don't. They're just stuck with "opposite marriage." I don't see how this is a departure from the typical "brainless pageant answer." What's even better is her complete sense of entitlement to "her" crown. lol And yeah, Perez is a total douche. |

Can you imagine? I think you need to pitch that idea to VH1 or MTV. They already did that one Pageant reality show with Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe. It was quite good actually. So, maybe they should do it again. Looks like Miss NC is suffering from the same thing Miss Teen USA did. Being shown up by a contestant who didn't win. |

It seemed so self serving coming from a loud mouth idiot like Perez. The thing that irked me the most was when she said "that's the way I was brought up", like this is a good thing or the right thing. In the Arab world, a great portion of the people are 'brought up' to believe that women are nothing more than possessions and have no rights. Such an ignorant bitch, no way she deserved to be even close to that crown. And Perez needs to STFU and let some intelligent people speak about the injustice of not allowing gays to marry. ...3rd year anniversary coming up for us, and it is recognized by our governments and employers at all levels in Canada. I know one thing, she totally alienated a big part of the beauty pageant fan base. Face it, pageants would be so much worse if it wasn't for the
contributions of gay men who have styled, dressed and coached these Stepford Wives in Training for years.
