i find it really amazing that like the one season they have in australia for survivor, the winner has already died
yet when the american version has 300 people who have played, none of the have died yet, and no, im not forgetting BB RIP Rob |

If I remember correctly, the season of Australian Survivor meant that the American Survivor for that season - I think it was Marquesas - was not shown in
Australia. This did nothing to help the reception for the Australian Survivor because people missed the bigger, bolder American version. There was even an
article at the time where they talked about missing big American characters like Jerri.
I'm sorry to hear about Rob and his son. I kept up with that season on their website, although I never watched the episodes. |

There was even an article at the time where they talked about missing big American characters like Jerri.Yes, that's right - it was a huge mistake to not show it and one which pissed off many people, and Marquesas has never been shown here. Some of us managed to get hold of a bootleg copy of it, very poor quality and with an episode missing but it was better than nothing. Those who didn't see that only got to see Kathy V and Rob M on All Stars for the first time. They should have shown both shows, maybe held off Marquesas till the Aussie version was finished, but still aired it. The TV Networks in their infinite wisdom still haven't shown Gabon here, or Tocantins, so many Aussies have to either download them or watch them on You Tube. Sucks. |

All I remember of this season was the weird final 3 where Joel started crying and Sophie almost getting the money after the top four refused to go to tribal.
Also whoever wrote the info on the wikipedia page did a horrible job.

Did that bit with the F4 supposedly refusing to go to TC ACTUALLY happen? I always thought it was just some ridiculously stupid rumour someone made up. But
yeah, whoever worked on the Wiki page really messed up how the votes went on it, especially post-merge.

Poor Rob. Wasnt much a fan of his, but that is awful news.
I enjoyed the one Aussie season well enough, I think Katie's reaction after Sophie leaves was one of the more hilarious things I've ever seen, talk about a meltdown. |

Regarding the accident, I just heard that some other cars crashed into the police cars attending the accident, killing another 2 or 3 people. So it looks like
at least 4 or 5 people were killed on that road, and probably more.
His wife and older son are injured but no one seems to know how badly. |

I just looked up this guy's season on Wikipedia.The Wikipedia article is pretty much as wrong as you can get, about everything except the boot order, and the final three deal. There's more detail over at my blog. (Also, Aussie Rules and rugby are two different codes. It's like comparing gridiron to soccer.) Yeah she did. In fact, I'm pretty sure the chick that went first from the 'celebrity' edition voted herself out too.Yes on both counts. And both times, it was completely unanimous. Something else that the US version hasn't ever seen on such a large scale (tie revotes and final threes be damned).

Oh my goodness... this is so sad. When I first saw this thread, I first thought it was about Tina as well like a few others... I was so shocked. I never saw
the Austrailan version of Survivor; but it's still sad.
