Cyndi was amazing on CI too. She was helpful and knew what the fuck she was doing. And she genuinly seemed to care about the kids and didn't seem to play
favorites. Best mentor ever on any Idol series.

Cyndi was a great mentor and she did actually care about the contestants. She actually came to show and watched too if I recall correctly. She also offered to
work with the eventual winner of CI4 and write with/for them. I checked Wiki for the song writing credits for the winner's CD and there is indeed one
written by Cyndi Lauper.
God forbid AI actually has a helpful mentor though. They usually just spew crap, they're either nice to everyone and offer no constructive criticism or they just suck and offer no good comments. The mentors on other Idol shows, OzI and CI from what I've seen are much more helpful. They actually offer individual advice to each contestant based on their strengths and weaknesses and don't just spew shit. |

Haven't been an Adam fan, but I like his choice of music ... just not sung by him.
This past week, I actually loved his Gary Jules's version of Mad World ... so this week, I want him to sing ... "Tear You Apart" by She Wants Revenge. (It was in the movie The Number 23.) I think he would have the potential to do it great on it. If he picked it, and sang it well - I would be on the Adam lurve train. If he butchers it ... I will be back firmly planted in the hate train. |

Isn't the theme that they have to pick a song that was specifically written for a movie? I would think letting them pick any song thats been in a movie
would be too broad.

For the theme Year You Were Born, Danny Gokey picked a song that was originally recorded in the early 60s, so I'm sure they'll let them do anything
they want.

hell if I know. I only 1/2 way pay attention to the rules. their ramblings, and the show.
Besides, they change the rules at will to suit and favor certain contestants. |
