Yeah, the contestants are given a very short list from which to choose and don't always get their first pick, but its a little too conspiracy nut to think that the producers pick every person's song every week.

When Simon asked her why she sang that song for the 3rd time she said "I couldn't get clearance in 1day." Simon said "Rubbish". Then, she said "Not a song as good as this one, not one I liked." So, it's all on her.

Why have a song on the list that they can't clear? I suspect that they offer the list to contestants more or less as suggestions, but the contestant is also welcome to pick songs from off the list and they will try to clear them in the limited time they have. I think some of the contestants who have done more obscure songs - think Chris Sligh - said they did this. So Tatiana is a complete moron (big surprise there!) if the ONLY song she picked that she knew would clear was the one she had done multiple times. She should have picked her favorite of the remaining songs on the list (ones she hadn't just performed in her last appearance on the show) to be safe. She could then pick four other songs and hope they clear, but if they didn't, she would still have been okay.

I truly believe she was delusional enough to think that her sparkly fairy dust (and the tarot reader) would get her through to the next round no matter what she sang. She thought wrong. Did anybody else have to repeat their songs that night - I don't remember. If not, I think it's more a case that she didn't bother to learn something new like everybody else, and not proof that the producers were out to screw her, and only her.

I appreciate that the producers picked up on the audience desire to see Tati further humiliated and degraded, and so they gave us our wish. Putting her through to the top 13, though, would have been TOO cruel, though - both to her and to us...

Also, not that you have any idea what you're talking about, but why would they meet their mentors before actually being given the ok on the song they're going to perform? Especially when the entire point of the mentors is to help them with their song for that week? In other words, stfu.

They didn't want her there, they had it all figured out before they all sang. Obviously as a couple that made the wildcard that night were not very good.

I think Jesse could have made it, too, if she had done great. I'll bet they would have LOVED to advance 3 girls and one guy if they could have. Tatiana was clearly a clown there to amuse us with no real chance to advance...

She would have had to have done better to make it... I get the feeling that Anoop and Megan were more or less automatic, and as long as they didn't scream racial epithets or defecate on the stage, they were in. The other two spots were open to the best two performers, but with two caveats: 1. at least one must be female - no way were they going to add THREE guys and only one girl 2. by no means could it be Tatiana who advanced I personally think they got that part right and that Jasmine and Matt performed the best that night.

I think the judges/producers knew exactly which four contestants they were going to pick before the wild card show. They were not going to pick Tatiana, Jesse was a late addition, Von was there to represent group 3 and Ricky was there so there would no be a backlash that they did not give him a chance.
