I love all the Somalian pirate stories in the past year (I vaguely remember them stealing a french oil ship about a year ago, right?), because they are the
worst pirates ever. Taking out a motorboat and attempting to steal a bigger ship via hand to hand combat sounds like the activities of a drunk man. <3 u

They say the M.V. Irene E.M. is the latest target of pirates who appear undeterred by U.S. and French navy attacks that killed seven bandits in the past week to free four hostages. That includes the weekend's dramatic rescue of the American captain of a U.S. freighter. The contractors did not know the ship's owner or where it is licensed. They spoke on condition of anonymity on Tuesday because it is a sensitive security issue. The Irene is at least the third vessel hijacked in a week. The nighttime attack indicates increased technology acquired by pirates who win multimillion-dollar ransoms. |

I've always wanted to take a cruise with a howitzer or a mark 45 on the ship.

So they attacked another American ship last night?
I think the solution here is obvious. While it would be nice to send in the F/A 18's to rain hot death on the pirate enclaves, the much safer and cheaper alternative would be to stop sending aid. No juicy ships full of food and other nice things...no pirates.
