We men are in a tricky position when we hit our late 20's, because metabolism slows way down for most of us. The average guy in his late teens early 20's doesn't look at carbs, calories, trans fats, etc, nor do they consider their eating schedule. Then consider that we eat in large portions and are encouraged to do so, compared to the eating habits/expectations of most of our female counterparts...You mean me stuffing myself everyday without gaining a single pound is soon going to come to an end? =O
Fuck that. If it means i'll be a fatty in ten years at the expense of the wonders of high-carb foods, Jenny Craig and co. can kiss my (soon to be) fatass.
Not everyone metabolizes at the same rate, so it's hard to tell. If you have overweight family members of the same body frame type, that's a pretty good indication that you probably should not supersize every fast food meal..
When I was 21, I went for months eating the same lunch everyday ( a double quarter pounder with cheese, 2 orders of supersized fries, and a supersize Coke.)
I didn't gain a pound then, but I would seriously gain about 5 lbs. a day if I did the same 12 years later.
