than Melissa though.

This will be my third year on tour. I paid $71 for my ticket, which is about the same as last year, and it's decent seating. I DEFINITELY think it's
worth it. The dances are even more astounding in person, and you get to see a great highlight of the entire season through the chosen dances (which is like
30-40 dances, I think, including solos). Especially for me, who didn't get to watch this season live, it's a great compression of the entire season
into one night.
The dancers are always available for pictures and signings afterward. It works differently in the various cities, but in ATL they've given a long fenced off area that the dancers go up and down. They're super friendly and take time to sign everything and take pictures with everyone. They're generally out there for over an hour so that you definitely get a chance to meet each one. I've had so much fun at both tours and wouldn't imagine not going this year, even though I practically missed out on watching the entire season. |

I went to the Season 2 tour (and paid through the nose for it, as the whole L.A. show was sold out a minute after regular sales opened and I had to buy on
E-Bay), and I loved it. I never even considered going in other years. I'd say it's worth it if you love the dancers/dances and not so much if you
don't...

I would actually prefer to see the dancers in companies. I like dance with more of a theme than this show could provide, and prefer to see people dance in
their own genre, really, if truth be told. I would much rather see Melissa do an awesome ballet than see her (or Evan) do ok in another genre.

I've got tickets. My little one and I are going to go with one of her friends from dance and her mom. We took her last year and she loved it. It's
great because it changes so much that you don't get bored and the little dancers can love it.
I also went in season three, so this is my third year. We paid 55 for the tickets, about the same last year. |

I don't know if it's because there's twenty people to split your love over, or if SYTYCD isn't as popular as AI, but the fans aren't nearly
as rabid, which is why the dancers do the meet-n-greet, I suppose. I think it does really humble them, whereas the AI alum probably think they're bigger
"celebrities."

I saw Debbie Allen last night on a show called L.A. Tap Fest presented by her school, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. It made me realize that I'm glad that
tap is NOT a heavily featured genre on SYTYCD. While it can be impressive, I don't really ever find it moving.

Unduli the AI contestants do meet and greets at all of their shows on the tour too. They often come out and meet fans and take pictures and sign autographs
before and after the show in each city.

I like tap in small amounts. It's got to be a pain for the sound guys to deal with because you have to mike the stage if you have tappers.
