So hope it isnt a duplicate To fill the void of Project Runway Bravo has a new show called The Fashion Show The Fashion Show premieres on Bravo on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Fifteen professional designers will compete in this fashion creative competition series for a chance to have their designs sold in the retail market and win a $125,000 prize. Internationally acclaimed designer Isaac Mizrahi shares hosting duties with four-time Grammy Award-winning performer and actress Kelly Rowland. Mizrahi and Rowland will also serve as judges alongside fashion luminary and Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion, Fern Mallis. Each week the designers will be put to the test and will have to face off in two challenges - the Harper's Bazaar Mini Challenge, judged by the magazine's Special Projects Director Laura Brown, and the elimination challenge. I loved her toad-like face during the final runway in the first and second season (I think). I would never have watched this normally, but now that I know shes participating, I might have to.

The challenges sound like they will be set up like the top chef, quick fire first with some advantage/immunity for the elimination challenge. And I am guessing that it will be a final 2 or 3 who will show their designs on the show and online and then votes will pick the winner. They're afraid of the competition. Who cares? Isaac is my new Michael. Fern is my new Nina (she was always better than Nina when she guest-judged on PR anyway), and it's just good to know that some former Destiny's Child peeps are still getting work. By the way, does anyone know the name of the song in the promo?
