1) strong bladder
2) the bbreloader from www.bbreloader.com I choose this one because you can have ALL FOUR feeds open at once
3) Open 4 windows of the reloader, then select the "size" option and opt for the smaller window option. Then resize all 4 windows across the top of your browser, keeping the back space clear so you can browse the sucks BB threads. Select the "always on top" view so the feeds stay on top of the browser. Mute 3 of the 4 feeds.
4) Pay attention, if it looks like 2 people have their heads huddled, quickly turn on that sound. Turn off the other sound.
5) Refresh the reloaders for the muted windows periodically so they won't freeze or whatever during a crucial converstaion. The most often you refresh them, the less they freeze when you don't want them too
6) Have computer headphones handy. I used cheap ones until this year and preferred the ones that had a dial in the cord to turn the volume up or down, and ideally a button in the cord, to mute. When they blast the Vortex of water music or the planes overhead get loud, that can blast the eardrums. This year I am using the Bose 3 headset. While it doesn't have that nifty volume button, I can turn the earphones off at the earpiece on the right. Now these expensive headphones are great because they pick up the softest of whispers. That came in handy over the past 24 hours. The Bose 2 headset is an "around the ear" design that might be more comfortable for these listening marathons, but they use batteries. The bose 3 is an over the ear which kind of hurts after a while if I don't move them around, but it has a rechargeable thingie that comes out and charges fast. I just got them yesterday. If I had to do it over, I would have gotten the around the ear and used the lower cost to invest in a lot os AAA batteries.
7) Keep the BB sucks forum open and contribute to it and read the various threads. Multi task, share the fun, outrage and insights of others.
8) DVR or Tivo the Showtime after dark and watch that show for the feeds you missed the night before and for during the times like now when POV ceremony is taking place and the feeds are on trivia for an extended period of time.
9) As you watch the events unfold, think bigger picture. Try to remember the dynamics of the house and use that discernment to know when someone is gaming and misleading by design, or if they really are as stupid as they seem to be by saying what they are saying.
10) Laugh at the funny stuff. I forgot what was going on really late last night when just Dick was cleaning up (or this morning, it was an all nighter), but I was laughing my ass off. Regular shows on tv don't get me to laugh that much, but once in a while Jay Leno has something funny on his show.
11) Post to the forum, don't be shy. However, don't be quick on the "new topic" button. By now, you can ALMOST ALWAYS put your thoughts in an existing thread.
12) Be good to the mods, the ones on this board are the best ones at sucks. They understand what sick fucks we are to give up our summers for this damn show
