33) Kira (Mortal Kombat Deception)


Hmm, in retrospect I should have ranked her a lower.� Definitely lower than reptile.� I definitely found her a lot more interesting of the black dragon characters and I thought her style of play was pretty interesting, even though she was one of the weaker characters in deception.� Her ranking is lowered by the fact that her moves are complete copies of both Kano and Sonya.� I have to say her ranking is inflated by two things.� One is that she kills Kobra in her ending (one of my least favorite characters of all time.

She also has one of the coolest fatality in deception.

32) Jax (MK2)

I thought Jax was a cool character in MK2 and� MK3.� His ground pound was definitely one of the most iconic moves in MK2.� I did think his storyline was a bit boring, being Sonya's side kick.� They tried boosting his storyline by having a rival named Hsu Hao.� The problem was that I hated Hsu Hao, so I could care less about it.� I did like that Jax killed Hsu Hao, and he threw Jarek off a cliff, so he gets bonus points for me.� Jax is also one of four characters to actually have their own spinoff game.� The slight problem was that his ended up being the worst game of all time (Mortal Kombat Special Forces).� Jax's stock in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance not only fell from the Hsu Hao rivalry, and using a machine gun as a weapon but his utterly stupid alternate costume.

31)Shinnok



Most people hated this dude.� I actually found him slightly entertaining.� His powers were quite hilarious, as he uses hands that shoot up from the ground to grab people.� His fatalities in MK4 were even more hilarious.� My favorite was this ginormous hand that emerges from the ground, squeezes the opponent until the person's heads gets squeezed out.� Shinnok made things interesting, because we didn't have Raiden as the only god in Mortal Kombat.� Besides, Raiden did need some kind of arch rivals.� If there was one good thing about MK4, was that it did help beef up certain storylines of major characters.

30)Liu Kang (MK1)

Man, I am so freaking depressed putting Liu Kang's name down, you guys have no freaking idea..� The guy is one of the most well known and recognizable characters of Mortal Kombat.� His bicycle kick is probably one of the most famous moves in Mortal Kombat (probably only less than the freeze move, and Scorpion's spear move).� His fatality, turning into a dragon is the most original fatality, which also inspired the animalities in MK3.Robin Shou made Liu Kang even more cooler in the Movie.� He also falls in love with Kitana, being only one of two romances that actually happen in Mortal Kombat (Sub-Zero/Sareena being the other).
So why is he not even in the top 10?

Characters who got worse as Mortal Kombat progressed
Reptile, Motaro, Goro, Jax....now add Liu Kang to the list.
The difference between Liu Kang, was that unlike the other characters he didn't progressively got worse.� It was he was pretty cool up until Deadly Alliance/Deception then he just dropped into complete suckage.

The storyline of Liu Kang in Deception is probably one of the main reasons why I hate Deception.

MK1:� Liu Kang beats Shang Tsung and wins Mortal Kombat.� Awesome
MK2: Falls in love with Kitana and beats Shao Kahn.� Pretty Awesome
MK3: One of the remaining survivors on Earth and beats Shao Kahn again.� Awesome
MK4: Beats Shinnok, trains Kai, and breaks up with Kitana.� eh okay.
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance:� Quan Chi and Shang Tsung sneaks up on Liu Kang.� Shang Tsung kills Liu Kang and takes his soul.��
Mortal Kombat Deception:� Liu Kang comes back from the dead (YAY!)



Only to become a zombie.�
I do not understand what the writers of Mortal Kombat were smoking.� Seriously, WTF?!� The storyline is so wierd.� He goes on this beszer rampage and kills a ton of shaolin monks, gets depressed and stays in outworld.� And from Deception to Armageddon he stays as a zombie.� Fighting with him is even more annoying as because he makes his somewhat annoying original sounds, but looks like a zombie...or like in the opening of Armageddon he makes these half assed zombie sounds and half assed martial arts sounds, which just makes him sound like he's on crack.

Oh yeah, but in Mortal Kombat vs DC, he's back to normal somehow.� I think it has to do with the writers realizing what a dumb move they made turning Liu Kang as a zombie.� Its actually a good thing that Liu Kang was an iconic story.� He's lucky to be ranked this high.� Because if there was a new zombie character, it would completely dead last.

In other words, MK writers of Mortal Kombat Deception, you can go kill yourselves.� *Man, I am so pissed off about this evolvement.

Next four characters....
-Spanish name
-Character with the most ridiculous/cheap projectile ever.
-Only appeared in two fighting games and one adventure game.
-Has white eyes. (Okay doesn't narrow it down).

29) Mavado (MKDA)

I know its kind of wierd ranking Mavado so high, when I was so indifferent about the Red Dragon. I like his look. He is probably one of the fastest movers in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. I like that he fights with hookswords, even though that is a ripoff of Kabal.

28) Kintaro (MKII)

Kintaro is my favorite of sub-bosses (Goro, Motaro, Kintaro). He is probably the fastest of the three. I always thought he was somewhat hard to beat. Kintaro gets a reasonably high ranking, because he didn't have the opportunity to get screwed by the video game producers as the series progressed. He only showed up in MKII and Armageddon. But compared to other characters, he pales somewhat in comparison.

27) Sareena (MK Mythologies)

Sareena's first appearance in Mortal Kombat, was actually not a fighting game, but a Sub-Zero adventure game. Despite only appearing in two games, I really like Sareena. Her storyline is very interesting. She has a strong relationship with the older Sub-Zero as well as the younger Sub-Zero. The interesting part is that the Old Sub-Zero (Noob Saibot) became evil, so she is caught in the middle. She also got damned by Quan Chi, so while being a newer character she is part of a lot of the main character storylines.

Sareena is the most ridiculous player in Mortal Kombat Armageddon (both good when playing with her and bad when playing against her). She throws her knife as a projectile. This projectile is so ridiculous, because it comes out so fast. This projectile is so fast, that you can make a combo by just throwing them, if your opponent is in the air.

26) Fujin (MK4)


Fujin has the coolest weapons. I think it was cool that he had a crossbow in MK4, and a scepter in MKA. I really wished he was used in a lot more games. It was really nice to have another elder god be added to mortal kombat. I like his special moves too. However his special moves like Serena can be spammed like crazy in MKA.

Predictions anyone?

Lol, I hate everyone in the second row, except for Kabal.
