I've never thought Family Guy was funny. The episode of South Park with the manatees is totally apt.

King Of The Hill is my favorite show out of the ones mentioned in this thread. It's a shame it's getting canceled. It's one of those shows that the
more you watch it, the funnier it gets. Peggy Hill is probably the best character made in animation world to date, she's whacky, zainy, hilarious and real
the same time. I'm going to miss her.
I don't understand why Family Guy is still on the air. It was funny at one point but now it's just an overkill. It's just really about Peter now a days. They keep shunning out most of the family for redundant plots. American Dad was crappy at the beginning of its run but has hit its stride with recent seasons. Roger is a must-watch character. The Simpsons is played out. I watch it when it's on but I don't intentionally save time to watch it. South Park is very hit and miss. You get good episodes and bad episodes. Not something I really like watching week-to-week. Futurama was good at the time, but now that it's gone. I've realized how special it was and how it wasn't an overkill. |

I never liked King of the Hill very much, but lately I've seen a few episodes and found them clever. It's definitely a family-oriented show. Not my
usual cup of tea, but I can see why people like it.
Simpsons used to be epic, but it's been steadily going downhill for years. South Park is still consistently hilarious. Family Guy is popular because it's easy to watch. There is no plot or story, just random jokes strung together. You can have it on in the background and never really have to concentrate on it. |

King of the Hill has a heart. That's why it's so different from the rest. It's not about shock value and crude jokes. Bobby Hill is da bomb. Oh,
and the Vietnamese neighbors. I haven't watched new epis in while, but I loved those neighbors. Are they still around?

The neighbors are stll there. Kahn may be the greatest cgaracter ever.
I love the episode where he and Hank get trapped in a cave, and Kahn has teh classic line. "Now I die lie boyfriend in The English Patient. Long, boring death. His redneck comments are funny as hell too. |

FG is the only one I bother with anymore. It's incredibly stupid and offensive, and all the laughs are generated from the fact that its stupidity and
offensiveness are so over the top.
So I'm confused as to why it's not more popular with OTers. Watching the Simpsons in recent seasons is what I imagine it must be like to be married to someone that you've fallen out of love with. |

Maybe it's just me, but after a while incredibly stupid and offensive plots get old. King of the Hill never gets old to me because the plots are very
complex and I liked the complexity to it, I guess.

I ADORE KotH.
I mean, there's an episode where Ann Richards is sitting there and Bill moons his ex-wife and Ann Richards says "blow her a kiss while you're at it." LuAnn is the greatest. |

I love KOTH, I still love the Simpsons, it has gone downhill, but it is still above most other shows. I love American Dad, South Park is great, but I don't
watch it as consistently. Family guy lost it's touch, but the one where Bonnie finally had the baby revived my faith, the faith that was killed by
"BIRD IS THE WORD". Futurama is good, it's kinda like KOTH in that it's more subtle and sincere. I liked the Simpsons movie, it wasn't
the best Simpsons, but it was still better than a large majority of movies.
If you like any of these shows, try Mission Hill, The Oblongs, The Critic, Duckman, Dilbert, God the Devil and Bob, Father of the Pride, Greg the Bunny, and there are a couple of others. |
