This goes against everything the race was originally about and does nothing but have some people consider "yield karma" (which unfortunately never happens to the bad teams) and the yield only works against the middle-of-the-road people anyway (how many times did Eric and Danielle escape it?). The UTURN is even worse since when it shows up there's always one really shitty long task that nobody wants to do and they get stuck having to do it again.

Indeed (and holy shit that was a damn good episode). I was immediately thinking of the eating-based FFs and the plate-smashing one. But definitely stuff like that (which is culturally relevant also) and not be a ballast in a stunt car or climb across a tall-ass open pit where the only factor is not being chicken. Haha, or jumping in a pool to get the clue? (Again, a quick and cheap FF that Oswald/Danny did!) :p There have been a lot of good FF over the years, but some have been really terrible too. I agree that they should definitely make the FF - and well, all tasks really - more culturally relevant. As Plat said, it would be nice to see a fast forward again where they could compete and have it not based on who gets their first/strength. The problem is that most of the time if one team goes for it, the other teams are not going to... because they're afraid they will end up eliminated, for example, like Terrance/Sarah.
