Coach still has power, while Jason was completely emasculated after the switch and was forced to bumble around without having any impact on the game.

Coach is becoming more of a joke than an object of hate,
To become a lovable joke, he needs to lose power over the tribe, allign with Eliza, and confuse the immunity idol with a stick. It would also help if he stopped sexually harasssing girls in the Insider clips. |

yhea his sexual harrasments and chauvinism isnt exactly loveable
lying about having cancer, lying about giving money to kids with cancer and him tricking young girls into giving him money and duping them etc keeps him away from "loveable joke" category and brings him closer to the hate category. that said, he's so pathetic on the show you just have to laugh. that said, he doesnt make for THAT good tv imo, him being an idiot is unexciting and gets old real quick. |

To use the word "lovable" implies that one sees some sort of redeeming quality in someone else, despite more obvious flaws. In Coach's case, we have not yet seen any such redeeming quality. |

If this was just purely him on the show, I could see him being lovable.
That said, he's lied about cancer, bragged about underpaying his assistants, tried to con money out of people in an eBay auction, has lied to people he recruited, and has been caught peeping on his players. It's one thing to be a douchebag on the show, but Ben is a horrible person outside it so I can't root for a scumbag like him even to be ironic. He's an unbearable personality, a complete downer, and his mere presence is ruining this season, even if he does have no power whatsoever. He's not fun to hate, he's just a wretched fuck who needs to go the fuck away and never be seen again. |
