Will AI ever produce another sucessful mainstream artist?

He would probably be the most successful out of this bunch and the easiest to market Why all this love for Matt on here? He had to be pushed through as a wildcard, his fanbase is not that large, and his performances have not been overly spectacular. If Elliott Yamin's career is hanging by a thread, what makes you think Matt's would be larger? The 'idea' of Matt Girard is certainly marketable, but that's about it. Sadly, the only one of these clowns with the remotest potential is Danny, because he can go make a Christian album that a bunch of morons will by it. He might even be able to sell a myrrh album. "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, why don't you just, turn out the light?"

Sure he's not fantastic, but his piano/vocal combination is great and he could do music that's the male side of Sara Beralis provided he can write or was given good music to perform. The singer/songwriter thing is big. It's the same with Megan. If they gave her some folkish music that was perfect for her range and voice she'd be a hit.

Realistically I don't think anyone this season is going to experience platinum albums and sold-out concerts. He/She will be lucky to crack the Billboard TOP 5.

Not to mention he's you know, fug? Although 19R should die if they sign him after passing on Elliott. I don't see one of these losers setting the world on fire. Maybe, Alexis or Allison will surprise us. Cook is doing okay but unless you get massive Pop hits or dominate your genre, you kind of disappear. I bet more people know who Jordin Sparks is than Cook. Seriously. And monster hits is why Kelly, Carrie and Daughtry are the true AI stars.

I think Matt has it in him to be a good singer, and his Hollywood and Wildcard performances showed potential. He also has shown the ability to suck massively (Group 2, Michael Jackson night). It will depend how he works it out. His actual talent is more impressive than, say, Kris', but Kris is more appealling and has fucked up much less...

A hot male one? Just about every R&B singer that has been on AI sound so dated. The very few that have been close to sounding somewhat current have been labled as "generic". I'm mentioning R&B b/c it's very dominant in top 40 in my area. TPTB need to get over that the Whitney style of singing has been played out for almost 20 years. Whatever happened to pop music on AI? I can see TPTB try to market Adam as a male Lady Gaga type.
