There was so much going on there i'm not sure if it was good or bad?

Jesus Christ, Superstar. All I Ask of You wasn't up her musical alley, so she chose this. Love the orchestral accompaniment, and the semishouty melody is almost perfect for the song. She's even got a paisley lookin' thing on. Is it 1970 again? She misses the note deliberately at the top and takes the harmony line a third below, rather than shrieking it, I suppose. The choir takes the high note. And again. If she couldn't sing the song as written, why did she choose it? The last line is more creatively different from the melody line, so it makes you think it's an artistic decision rather than fear of missing notes. At least a solid 6. A 7, maybe? Randy: No surprise that the bigger voices are better tonight. Rangy. Dunno if it's your best performance tonight, but definitely good. And I like the outfit! Paula: So unexpected. At first I thought it was too high, but I love what you did in the chorus. Simon: It got a little shouty in the middle, but actually, one of my favorite performances of the night. |

I wish they would have a "Carly Hennessy Week" on Idol. 
I thought Carly was very screamy on the upper notes. Other than that, I enjoyed it. The only performance of hers that I've enjoyed in recent weeks. |

I know Jason and Brooke will hit bottom 3 for sure. But who joins them? Syesha who did well? Or David who was boring but got a negative comment which may save
him?

At least that was a good song choice for Carly, even if ALW made it for her. IMO, it was in too high a key and that's why she struggled on the high notes.
