I don't care if Patty uses foul language. I say fuck all the time too. It's just that the SNL skit focused on that & she hasn't been that way
at all on the show. Just the opposite. I was only wondering if she really was like that. And after reading some of the articles on the thread that JAW posted
above I see that it was all her husband's doing. The only thing she did was be the wife he tried to unlawfully get a job for.

Yeah, I say FUCK all the time too but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be able to control myself if I was on a TV show. It's not that hard to censor
yourself. It's easy.

I don't give a fuck if she swears or not, but she is definitely reining her personality in for the show. Good on her, at least she can control the
douchiness in public unlike her husband. IMO, she is in it up to her eyeballs with Blago though and they are still investigating her I believe. I live in WI and
it's not on the local news as much as it was back in Nov/Dec, I admit I haven't kept up with it.

What I was wondering is: if Patty were the type to drop a bunch of f-bombs in her everyday language then no way could she keep herself from doing it out in the
'jungle'. It would seem that NBC is purposely showing her in a favorable light by possibly editing out those times she drops the bombs. I don't
know why they would since they lurve the drama.
Maybe Blago & Patty told them she would do the show but only if they gave her a positive edit (hoping it would garner sympathy for their legal trouble). |

Fluffynurse wrote:If y'all think Patti was not in on Rod's schemes just because you haven't seen her drop the F-bomb yet then you are being played just like Patti and Rod hope the jury pool will be from this show. Rod has to be watching this show and laughing all the way to the courtroom. It's really a godsend for him that the judge ruled he could not be on this show as he would not be able to rein in his douchiness and come across as sympathetic as Patti has. The truth though is that Patti Blagojevich has been in the cesspool of Illinois/Chicago politics even longer than her hubby as the daughter of powerful Chicago Alderman Richard Mell. In fact it was a squabble between Patti's dad Mell and her hubby over her hubby somewhat arbitrarily shutting down the landfill of a Mell relative that rained down many of the problems on the Blagojeviches as Mell came forward to the media with the allegation that Rod's administration was selling contracts and appointments for campaign cash (which had already been widely rumored in political circles). Mell later retracted the statement and has since reconciled with his daughter, but many convictions have followed the federal investigations of Rod's administration selling contracts and appointments for campaign cash and thus Mell's allegations have been found true in a court of law even if Rod himself has yet to stand trial. There's also the issue of the questionable hundreds of thousands of dollars in real estate commissions that Patti collected from her real estate business from the time between Rod started running for governor in 2000 and when her biggest client and Rod's chief fundraiser/political adviser Tony Rezko got indicted and her business essentially dried up a couple years ago. After that Patti used her political ties to get other short-lived jobs as an investment banker and a charity fundraiser before she was quickly fired from them because of the negative publicity she brought and her ineffectiveness as an employee and yet now those political ties are getting her on TV four days a week and a paycheck likely in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. (Rod was supposed to get 140,000 an episode per the court papers he filed when he was trying to get clearance to go to Costa Rica for the show). As shown on the tapes, Patti had no ethical problems with demanding that the Chicago Tribune company fire editorial writers that were critical of her husband in exchange for the Tribune company getting a favorable deal from the state on their plans to sell Wrigley Field and she was said to be in on a lot of the other schemes involing Blagojevich Enterprises as well (In Illinois, most speculate she was not indicted herself not because there was no evidence to indict her, but because a jury might be persuaded to vote against convicting the Blagojevichs out of sympathy for their young girls.) As someone with friends who work at the Trib and have had to worry about their jobs enough as it is the last couple years simply because of the economic realities facing the journalism industry right now, I have no sympathy for this bitch who thought nothing of using the livelihoods of independent journalists as cannon fodder in her husband's Machievellian schemes. All the while Patti and Rod cry to who anyone will listen that they were just trying to do the will of the people and taking on the special interests when Rod and Patti Blagojevich were really the biggest special interests of all!!! Oh and as a Cubs fan, I also think these two can rot in hell as well for pretending to be Cubs fans yet dicking around the Cubs over this Wrigley deal. Even Patti's claim on show the other night about how great Illinois was for bringing healthcare to all children is such bullshit as Blago's empty promises without any way to pay for them have helped give us practically the biggest state deficit this side of California and the way Rod went about setting up his healthcare program was straight up illegal and involved stealing money the Legislature appropriated for other programs and putting it toward his healthcare plan that had been defeated in the Democratic-controlled state legislature UNANIMOUSLY!!!! I have no doubt Patti feels as victimized and sorry for herself as she has portrayed on this series and I have no issue with NBC editing her to be as sympathetic as possible when most of the people on this show are so vile, but I do have a problem with this many Sucksters getting suckered in by Blago's bullshit. |

Thank you memy! That's the kind of stuff I wanted to know & didn't. So her hands weren't clean & it wasn't just her hubby dearest. It
looks like those schmucks in the 'jungle' know about as much as I do about her situation so they're buying her bullshit. Poor things.

Interesting read about her history. Thanks! |

Daniel B yapping about Janice came off worse than Janice to me - because he's being judgmental. Her words and actions spoke for themselves.
'Janice owes 33,514.03 Stephen owes 845,000 ish Patti - millions in legal bills and possibly losing her home' Kinda shows how desperate all of these folks are and why they go on reality TV shows. It isn't simply for exposure. I don't think Patti would be on this show if she didn't think the money would help her situation. BTW - while I feel some sympathy for her situation and the situation of her kids. You reap what you sow. If she's totally ignorant of her husband's political methods, then I feel worse for her - but most political spouses aren't. She's a pretty tough broad - she's doing well on the show. So, I do admire her a bit for that. |

Thanks memyselfandi, that was better than my half assed attempts at explaining! I almost wish the judge had let Blago go (except for the more money he would
earn) just because there is no WAY after listening to that blowhard that any of the "celebrities" would believe he was framed.

(Rod was supposed to get 140,000 an episode per the court papers he filed when he was trying to get clearance to go to Costa Rica for the show). That's what people are saying, but there is NO WAY these people are getting paid 140k per episode. That's more than DWTS, Celebrity Apprentice, or anything other celebrity show of this type. Frankly, there are a lot of network stars who don't make 140k per episode on their shows. |

If that was the stuff you "really" wanted to know, you'd do an actual news search and read up on it rather than listen to some person on a
message board.
