I think Spencer was trying too hard to portray himself as a masculine monotone male out there which was his downfall because he couldn't be himself and as
a result became a less personable person. He also looked like he was on the verge of t.ears pre-tribal council when trying to talk to JT and the guys but was
holding it in.
What Spencer SHOULD have done was just tell his tribe to start looking at the merge. Who seems more likely to turn on their tribe, him or Taj? Obviously Taj. He could have argued that Taj has ties with the other tribe via Brendan which is a threat..AND she's exposed to the HII clues. He could have easily saved himself I think if he tried to reason with Sydney and Joe. JT would have probably followed suit.
However, unaware of Stephen's ties with Taj, Stephen could have still pushed for Spencer to leave and maybe Spencer was done for regardless of his challenge performance. I do think it's lame that he was voted out over one challenge. He seemed to be in a very safe spot pre-immunity challenge. I think JT was just angry and wanting vengeance on whoever contributed to losing the challenge after he himself lost a tooth.
Overall, Spencer indifference. He did seem pretty awkward though..
