^ Oh, absolutely. There have been so many Derby-Preakness winners recently (Silver Charm in '97, Charismatic in '99, War Emblem in '02, Funny Cide
in '03, Smarty Jones in '04), including Real Quiet in '98 who lost the Belmont by a nose, that it is bound to happen at some point. It might be
somewhat tainted--all that would need to happen is that a possible spoiler would scratch the day of the race--but it will happen.
