i think he's the owner/trainer. who drove the horse himself up from new mexico. while on crutches. carrying a gun. with nasty attitude. $9,500 horse. and a
drunk jockey.
this is the trashiest derby ever...yay! |

The Trainer wasn't an asshole, dude was bent about not hardly being interiewed or even considered a contender. He's a former Rodero trainer who got
this great horse. The fact that he did drive him up here, 21 hours, on a broken ankle in a trailer behind hiw own truck is a pretty unlikely and heartfelt
story. Sometimes you get to see horses like this whom haven't had the money behind them to run too many preps and they just come out of no where. Awesome
race, this is exactly what the Derby is about, one horse, one race, one day.
My best friend had $20 o the nose, he decided he was too drunk to cash it so he kept it and will go out this week. LOL around the 4th or 5th race we got Turf Club bracelets so we weren't on the rail for the bi race, hich I missed a bit. But the open bar helped get me over it. LOL The most amazing thing I saw this last 2 days though was Rachel Alexandria, I will always remember seeing that race. It was, there aren't words. She'll be horse of the year. She should have run the Derby. she could have had a "real" chance to Triple Crown. Her owner, being a chauvenistic dude, said he was glad cause a filly shouldn't win it. Wouldn't be good for the sport. ACK! |
