I say this as a PG fan, so I know fully well that the girl would've won in the end if it was forced. It'd been a tie-breaker between Erik and Todd. Most likely, I see Erik beating Todd's ass in the round, so he advances along with Denise, PG, Amanda, and Courtney to the final 5. At final 5, the three made up of PG, Erik, and Denise automatically are safe for the final 4 because even if one of the Amanda/Courtney pairing win immunity, the other goes out. At final 4, it'd been those three against the remainder of the Courtney/Amanda pair, and everyone knows that PG could've lasted for days balancing those stupid ass teacups. So, bye bye bitch. OH, THE POSSIBILITIES!!!!!!

I mean seriously, half the things are so fucking biased. Like what? I take feedback from everybody who posts here and I adjust the rankings based on that feedback, and I've also included many players that I like (with some of them very high up on the list), so although I'm sure there's always going to be some bias, I think I've limited that as much as humanly possible.

You see, I don't think she would have, and that's why I don't really think that that was a stupid move. It's true that Denise would have possibly gotta a little bit farther if she had went with PG and Erik and forced a tie at Final 6, but I think her chances of actually winning the game would have been a little bit less, because I can't see how she could win a jury vote if she did that. This is how I think a Denise, PG, Erik final 3 vote would have went......... Courtney - PG? Erik? Amanda - Erik Todd - PG James - Denise? Frosti - PG Jean-Robert - PG Jaime - Erik So I think Denise would only get one vote at best. Whereas, if she stuck with her original alliance and Amanda decided to vote out Todd instead of her, then I think things would have went like this....... Todd - Amanda PG - Amanda? Erik - Amanda James - Denise? Frosti - Courtney Jean-Robert - Denise Jaime - Amanda? So in that scenario she has at least 1 or 2 votes and if she can win over PG or Jaime she can potentially achieve a tie between her and Amanda. She still might not have won the game, but it seems like this scenario would have been her best shot, and she can only get there if she sticks with her original alliance. The bottom line: If her goal was to actually win the game, as opposed to just making Final 3, then what she did wasn't stupid.

I see a few Survivor winners on the "Stupid Things" list. What they did couldn't have been that stupid if they won the game. Sure it could have. Everyone makes mistakes, and there are scenarios where every player can win. Kelly Wigglesworth could have won in Borneo if she didn't change her vote to Sue at Final 4, but even if she won, that wouldn't have made her decision to leave the Tagi alliance any less stupid. Similarly, Lex could have won in Africa if he won the final immunity, but that wouldn't make his decision to vote off Kelly any less stupid. Or in Vanuatu, Ami could have potentially won if Eliza and Julie voted with her at Final 6 to force a tie, but that wouldn't have made her decision to target Eliza in the previous episode any less stupid. Or Rafe could have won in Gautemala if he won the final immunity and took Stephenie to Final 2, but that wouldn't make his decision to vote off Lydia instead of Danni at Final 4 any less stupid. The bottom line is, many players make stupid moves and are able to recover from them, but that doesn't make the stupid moves any less stupid.

Amanda votes off Denise instead of voting off Todd or forcing a tie. Jaime thinks a blank piece of wood is an immunity idol and attempts to use it tribal council. James fails to use either of his immunity idols. Todd lets James have both immunity idols, instead of insisting from the beginning that if James found the other idol he would give it to him in return for Todd giving him the first idol. Any other suggestions, besides the Denise thing?

She could have easily switched back to vote out Peih-Gee/Erik after that, or stuck with them. Either way she was top 3, which is better than 4.

I'm sorry, but I don't consider this a "stupid move". First, she claims she DID know it was likely fake but played it just in case. Isn't that called "going for it" and taking a risk? She had NOTHING to lose and a 1% (or whatever) chance of actually pulling it off, so why is it stupid to try EVERY tactic that you can? It might have been stupid for her to assume it could be an idol in the first place, but when your back is up against the wall and you are almost certain that your name appears in the urn more than anyone else's, why is it stupid to try to pull a miracle out of your ass instead of going passively? JAMES was the stupid one for not playing Idols that WOULD have saved him (as you note), but using that same logic, Jaime wasn't stupid for at least TRYING to save herself even if she knew it was futile. The main reason we saw it the way we did was because the editors set it up as a big joke, mostly because of James's reactions and "Oh please let her do that, I will just die"; it was good TV. Without James's setup, I suspect we'd have seen her try to play it and be turned down, but it would have been edited as "well, she gave it her all, you can't blame her for trying". It was EDITED to look stupid, but if you think about it from a purely strategic POV, we'd have called her an idiot for NOT playing it and at least giving it a shot, in case it was real, if she hadn't, if there was even a 1% chance of success. And no, I'm not one of these fans who drools over every blonde woman on the show and supports her.

I still say, if you heard an anecdote from, let's say, the Portuguese version of Survivor, where you heard that someone had found something that probably wasn't, but MIGHT have been an Immunity idol, took it to a Tribal Council where she was almost positive she was getting the most votes, and then decided NOT to play it because she didn't want to look stupid, we'd all be saying "What a bimbo! She should have played it--WTF did she have to lose??!?!?!?!?!" It's only the editing, clearly made to make Jaime look like a laughingstock, that causes us to think she was stupid for playing it; usually we give kudos to someone who claws and grasps at ANY possible chance to stay in the game, however futile.

I believe she told Frosti that she had found a HII, and she also talked about having a HII in her confessionals and about how surprised everyone was going to be when she pulled it out at TC. I'm gunna see if I can find her exact quotes from the the show and post them here... Here's one Jaime quote: "We have merged and it's pretty exciting. We have such a wide variety of people, so it's a pretty scary point in the game. So I'm excited to have the Hidden Immunity Idol and it's going to be a whole new ball game!" She says this to Frosti: "So we have the Idol, the Hidden Immunity Idol" And then finally she says this: "I've come to realize that I am very good at playing stupid and it works to my advantage. If Todd sees me play the Hidden Immunity Idol tonight, he's definitely going to be floored. It's probably going to shock everyone, including Jeff. I am not as dumb as I look and maybe they are figuring it out." I think it's pretty much an open and shut case. She clearly believed it was a real HII. Last Edited By: AnomyBC 12/23/07 1:04 AM.
