hard to say that Danni Boatwright did anything too stupid since she did win her season.

No mention of Lill taking Sundra to the final 2 instead of Johnny Fairplay? This was one of the dumbest moves ever
ETA: Also I have a feeling Yau-Man's negotiating with Nightmarez in front of everybody is going to have a mention on this list soon

Kathy peeing on John was not stupid. |

Re: Re: | ||
Quote:Of course, but things like Mike's fall into the fire and Butch's burning down the camp (and even Kathy peeing on John's hand) are there for nostalgic value, and nothing more. I don't really understand why everyone gets so pissed off about their inclusions. Clearly they're not truly dumb decisions, but adding a couple of them to the list makes it more of a fun read. I don't consider this thread as much of a true rating of the worst moves ever made on Survivor, but rather a trip down memory lane of sorts. Quote:Christy's physical handicap is not really comparable to Becky/Sundra's inability to produce any sort of efficient fire after 38 days of surviving in the Cook Islands. Quote:I believe Michelle has stated that the reason she downed her drink so quickly was because that was they only way she could have gotten herself to finish it. Now, whether that's true or not is still up in the air, but I think we should at least note that she does have some sort of excuse for it. Quote:Had she stuck with her alliance, the best she could have hoped for was a tie with one of Scout/Ami/Leann leaving. It was just as likely that the PROD would boot her, Julie, or Eliza instead, in which case she would have been in an even worse position. And she had a very good reason to be afraid of Eliza, who had previously screwed them over because she had felt vulnerable. Was it a bad move? Probably. It's likely what made Ami so wary of her, and combined with her slip of tongue, it's probably part of what got her booted. But it was a logical move to make, even if the execution was pretty weak. Quote:Yeah, I've never faulted her as much for that as others do. I do think Katie was an absolute idiot by siding with the men at 6 and 5 however. Once Caryn left, there was no one else in the game she could beat in the F2. And since either Tom or Ian would have crushed her in the jury vote, her only real option to win respect was to play the strong game Jenn chastized her for avoiding. Quote:He might not have had a chance of winning, but Jeff knew he was incredibly vulnerable, and he gave up on that IC. There was still the smallest chance that he could end up winning it, and if he did, Kucha would have had a huge advantage going into TC. Instead, he opted out at the very beginning, knowing full well that Ogakor could use that to Pagong Kucha. Quote:Lill wasn't going to beat either of them, and she knew it. I don't fault her for realizing her situation was helpless and giving the million dollars to someone who could truly use it over someone as despicable as Fairplay. She was probably incorrect in thinking she had a better shot against Sandra, but she was absolutely correct in making a moral decision once she saw that her game prevented her from winning. Quote:Eh, even if it backfires, I'll still probably think it was a good move. Not his best possible move, but a damn good one considering his options. |

I dont know who's more stupid -- Yauman offering the deal to Dreamz, or Dreamz breaking it.

Obviously Dreamz making the deal is stupider.... and that's why it's going to be added to the list : )
And I'm also going to take off the Kathy peeing thing, since apparently nobody likes it : ) |

Dreamz taking the deal and then breaking it has to be THE DUMBEST THING EVER.
Yau knew he was taking a risk, and at least he can walk away from the game knowing he played great. He won more immunity challenges then fucking Dreamz! |

Yau Man had integrity and the naivete to belive who all else did the same as he. Dreamz was stupid enough to believe people would understand his own deceit. It's the world he came from. Unfortuntely for both they were wrong. 2 culture clashes. but Dreamz was the first we saw on this show. I hope it's the last but I doubt it. They found gold. I say let's have a first time all ghetto Survivor but no weapons. Hey - it's hard out there for the pimps!

In response to the people who complained that Mike falling into the fire, and Sundra not being able to start one, weren't "stupid decisions", when did I ever say ever that the things on this list had to be decisions? There are many things on this list that didn't involve a decision. This is just a list of things that people did that were stupid. I certainly think that falling into a fire is stupid and I certainly think that not being able to start a fire with matches is stupid, so those 2 things will always be somewhere on this list.
Anyway, I gg, but I'll probably respond to more comments tomorrow. |

Quote: Exactly. When it got down to six, Liz and Rodger ganged up to vote off Amber instead of joining with her to vote off whichever of Tina or Colby or Keith had a previous vote and didn't win immunity. Assuming Colby continued winning immunity, the final three might well have been him and Liz and Rodger. |

what about America's Tribal Council? that was pretty stupid... but I guess that it unfortunately doesnt count as it was set up by the producers.

Re: ? | ||
Quote: If you add that, you'd have to add Outcasts and the rich/poor twist as well. I don't see how Dreamz breaking the deal is stupid, considering Sucks would be tearing him a new one if he didn't break it. Giving up a spot in the F3 is Colby/Ian level stupidity, except Dreamz got a free truck in his case. He fucked Yau Man over, but Yau Man knew that could have happened anyway. I do think Dreamz taking the deal was dumb, and maybe even Yau Man making the deal in the first place (though I think that's arguable, as he didn't think he'd lose anything besides the truck, though it did end up making him a target). However, I don't think going back on the deal was necessarily stupid. So basically, if Dreamz makes the list, it should be for taking the deal, but not for going back on it. The F3 being in front of the jury did change everyone's strategies after all. |

Put Yoa giving Earl the II way up on that list. Yao was very smart to send himself to Exile Island. But then instead of finding and keeping the idol he lets Earl have it. At that point in the game Yao could have had TWO idols and a deal with Dreamz in place. Plus he still had the chance to win immunity at the challenges. For a person to not realize the game would end with an F3, to give away an idol is stupid. And then did you see Earl's reaction when Yao said he might need it back? Earl was like no way Jose. Yao was a great player but in the end he was way to trusting. Give me an II over a promise any day.

Re: 69 studipest things | ||
Quote: At least you should rewrite Mike's as "sitting so close to the fire that he breathed smoke and passed out", then. He fell into the fire after he passed out; I don't think something you do when you're unconscious can be considered "stupid"--the "stupid" part, if there was one, was allowing himself to be in danger of passing out right over a fire. Quote: That wasn't technically in the game of Survivor, which had already ended with a winner declared; it was an add-on to lick Rupert's butt some more. |
