Honestly, I think they will give it to Chokey, Adam or Lil. The producers had no issue giving Archuletard the pimp slot the first week of The Beatles even
after having it once in the semi's.

Technically Anoop didn't get the "pimp spot" because there was no voting this week.
One of the 4 wildcards will get the pimp spot, and I fully expect the judges to go overboard with praise for the wildcards making sure gosh darn it America must love them whether they want to or not!

Hey all - so I spend so much time working on DialIdol during the year I don't often have my pulse on everything going on outside of DialIdol. That's usually where you all keep me up-to-date and I appreciate it! One thing I noticed this weekend while I was testing and I am wondering if anyone had heard anything about - phone numbers! We all know the phone numbers to vote : 1-866-436-5701 through 5712. Usually if you call these numbers outside a voting window they are busy and that is the case today. However... This year there are 13 contestants. It appears that American Idol does not own 1-866-436-5713 (or 1-866-436-5700 for that matter). I'd advise you not to call either number as the content is not rated G. This raises the question - what the heck are they going to do for the 13th contestant? Has anything heard anything? New numbers? New voting system entirely? A lone non-contiguous number? Are they frantically trying to buy the number? Am I just dialing wrong? The pimp spot might be iffy this week if the voters don't pay attention. |

Pimp spots in the top 12 don't matter much since they usually run out of time so the overpraising don't really have that much of an impact.

Interesting. This week's pimp spot could actually be the 'throw them under the bus' spot thanks to potential phone number shenanigans.
For that reason, I say Jorge or Michael... or maybe Adam if the producers are scared of teh gay. |

Um, hello, it's OBVIOUSLY Danny. His bible told him, 'the first shall be the last', which clearly means the first semi-final pimp spot shall be the
last man standing.
But, following scripture, I believe he will be 'betrayed' this episode, but who will be his Judas? Which among them? Hmmm, five letters, name starts with J, brown colored....

You're left with the last impression producers want you to have? I'm gonna go with Adam. Both Paula and Simon have said he's their favorite and I think Adam can change up Michael Jackson music effectively. Unless it is a bad thing ala the number situation above. Maybe the judges will be allowed to save one person this week? |

Maybe phone numbers will be given at the end after the judges give out immunity to one contestant. I'm trying to think how else they could handle this

The pimp spot has always been very biased. If they give it to one of the 4 that have already gotten it before, that would suck. I hope they let more people

I think it will be Adam, again. He has Michael Jackson's theatrical flair and is most likely to give a kick-ass performance this week. Danny won't get
it, there's been too much written about him getting excessive airtime. If it isn't Adam, it would likely be a pimped one who hasn't had it yet. So
it would then be Matt or Scott-though I agree that getting final spot on a non-voting Wildcard night like Anoop did doesn't really count. But I don't
think the pimp spot matters as much in the first weeks, for a reason no one's mentioned. The pimp spot is often give to a judges's/producer's
favorite WHO IS IN TROUBLE. And NO favorite should be in any trouble the first week, with the likes of Megan and Michael still around.

IIRC last year Arculeta got the pimp spot and the year before it was Jordin.
So I think the first TOP 12 spot goes to their CHOSEN ONE. Which we all know this year is....
