I'm totally a vote for Colinsworth. He's kind of a know-it-all asshole, but he really knows the rulebook and game inside and out. Can't remember what game or play, but during one of the 2008 NFL Network games there was a challenge, and during the review, Colinsworth called out the most insane rule I ever heard of, and he ended up being right to the shock of his colleague. I really hate commentators who do nothing but repeat exactly what happened. "Warner passes to Fitzgerald for a 24 yard gain", cool I JUST SAW THAT. I want to know things I may have missed, like someone running the wrong route or someone missing a block, the reason we got from point A to point B in those 10 seconds...not just the outcome. Then again, I absolutely loved Madden, so I'd probably be fine if they just got a new retarded senile slob that is scared of airplanes. |
