No offense, but Jakey maybe needs to be out of the spotlight to shine. His last national appearance was an epic mess.

Point taken. I'm really hoping we pick up a QB in the draft. Not that I don't love Jake, but we need a new guy in here soon.

it is a mystery |

Jake's got another mediocre year or two left in him, and that's it.

From ESPN:
A year ago, the NFL schedule favored teams in the AFC East and NFC South. Easy out-of-division schedules give teams the opportunity to go 7-3 or better, and five of those eight teams accepted that gift. The only team from that group with a losing record was the Buffalo Bills, who went 7-9 but 7-3 in non-division games. This season, the AFC East and NFC South have to pay the price. The eight hardest schedules for the 2009 season are for AFC East and NFC South teams, and three or four-victory dropoffs for any of those teams might result. For 2008 playoff teams such as the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers, the road to the 2009 postseason is treacherous. |

lol, the Lions skewed everything
Strength of schedule is really bullshit in the NFL, anyway. There's no way to make it an even somewhat-accurate science, let alone an exact science. This is all based on last year's records, when these teams are bound to improve or regress. Even a S.o.S. for a current year can easily be skewed by injuries, improvement over the course of a season, etc. That's why I hate schedule-whiners. |

Whoa, with the NFC East round-robinning or whatever they call it against the NFC South and the AFC West, the G-men, Iggles and Bois just made the playoffs.
The Redskins of course will figure out a way to blow the advantage. Anyhow, what this means is that there is no need for Giants/Eagles trashtalking until Christmas. Congrats guys! |

You're basically adding 32 more wins and 0 losses to a division rival's strength of schedule, whereas the Dolphins add a combined 2-30 record to the Greatriots strength of schedule. |

So the first game at JerryWorld is with the Giants? We'd had a Redskins rumor all week. Jerry is enough of a whore to sell Archie Manning a luxury box
and subject us to parent shots during Eli's meltdown.

lol @ espn having a two hour show to analyze the schedules.
looking at the nfc east schedules, I noticed the Giants play the Boys/Eagles back to back weeks at home, Eagles play the Giants/Boys back to back to weeks at home, and the Skins play the Giants/Boys....back to back weeks at home. Strange. Because the Giants have proven to be very effective against Romo in the regular season since he became the starter. They were effective against Tony Oh-No though in the most important game of his life. You should've heard how quickly the balloon deflated from that place when McQuarters picked that ball off. It was pretty damn funny. did I mention that Smithee lost that bet to me? That's why he didn't post here until after the SB. ssts looks like the Eagles will have the pleasure of ending the Cowboys season again......but this time it will happen in Big D. How interesting. |

Looking at the prime time/national games for this upcoming season the NFL's golden commandment looks to be upheld:
"Whenever two NFC East teams gather together in thy game, A national audience shall be with them" |

My sister and her boyfriend are coming out to go to the Bolts-Skins game thus year! YAY.
My brother in law is from Cleveland, and apparently my whole family is opting to head to Cleveland for the Bolts-Browns game in DECEMBER. I think they've all lost their minds. |

Weeks after rumors first surfaced that the Browns will trade receiver Braylon Edwards to the Giants, Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that Edwards is expected to become a member of the Giants before the draft commences. A day late, but I like Edwards, just not at such a huge price. |
