With the season finale being tonight, we can start thinking about getting this started. Could I get some ideas from everyone how many episodes in a week is
reasonable? I'll post a schedule on the first page once I get some feedback.

OK well as soon as you finish those...Here's the quiz for the season 1 premiere.
1. Will a flight attendant give Jack alcohol? (3,000 pts.) 2. Will the guy from Heroes be the pilot? (1,000 pts.) 3. Will we find out why Alpert doesn't age? (4,000 pts.) 4. I didn't want to start a new thread for this, so I figured I'd post it here.
Over the last few weeks, I rewatched season 1 of Lost in its entirety for the first time since it originally aired on tv. It really surprised me how likeable Michael was back then. For years I've considered him to be my least favorite regular ever on the show (and yes, I include Paulo in that list). Though Mike probably is still my most hated overall, in season 1 he kinda owned and I had forgotten. Then of course, the first half of season 2 consists solely of "THEY TOOK MY SON!!!" x 1,000,000. This is where the annoyance began. It blossomed into full blown hate, of course, with the infamous "shocking"  cliffhanger of Two for the Road, which may very
well be the stupidest character action I've ever witnessed. No Michael, don't tell your friends what the Others want and work out a plan, just kill
some of them randomly.
And when he finally returns in season 4 he's just kind of a loserly schmuck. And explodes. But yeah, season 1, he was alright. Also I had totally forgotten how perfectly they set up the potential Michael/Sun romance and how convinced most people were that it was going to happen. Not only was Jin a prick, I couldn't see them keeping a non-English speaking character alive for more than a few episodes. Good times. /random post |

Wow, that is about the pace we'd need to watch them in order to be done before next season. The watching isn't such a big deal, but I'm thinking
the discussion will be monsterously huge. Guess I'll give up on job searching for a few months. LOL

I didn't have anything to do today. Well I could have cleaned house and stuff but anyway... I haven't re-watched too many episodes. In fact, seasons 2
and 3 are still sealed. I did catch some of the repeats back when we had reruns and everyone bitched. A lot of these episodes will be my first repeat.
How many of you have worn out all your DVDs?
I watched the pilot and Tabula Rasa. 1. Jack helped Claire after the crash - Kinda odd seeing them way back then knowing now they are brother and sister. 2. Michael was screaming Waaaalllttt. 3. Kate said "I'm going with you" in the first episode! ;) 4. Still love the "let the fear in for 5 seconds" story. Took 5 years to explain that one. eta - not that I think this needed explaining.. it was just cool to see it revisited in the S5 finale. 5. LoL @ Michael bitching about walking through the haunted jungle looking for Vincent. 6. Charlie changed the tape on his fingers from FATE to LATE. 7. The "Wash Away" montage made me t.ear up. 8. Sawyer and Sun look MUCH better now. jmo 9. Jack is my favorite character so far.

Agreed about Sawyer. I didn't find him attractive at all in the beginning. I have no idea when I started to think he was hot, though.

Reposting something I posted earlier during the practice run. (And I don't have to worry about wearing out my DVDs--I watch online LOL)
OK, so I just watched the first hour of the premier. Here are some things I noticed: 1. I had completely forgotten that the flight attendant who gave Jack the extra liquor was the one who ended up being with the tailies and gotten abducted. Or, more accurately, never realized before since by the time she showed up again I had forgotten her brief cameo in the premier. Makes you wonder if they had that planned out in advance, or, after deciding to add the tail section much later just said, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool to get the same actress to come back?" 2. The Kate-insists-on-going-no-matter-what (and usually ends up screwing things up) theme started clear back then--three times in the first hour! She insists on going on the expedition to find the cockpit. She insists on climbing up into the cockpit when Jack already had things handled. AND she insists on going back after Jack when Charlie thinks the monster got him. 3. Speaking of the monster in the premier--is it just the smoke monster, or something else? 4. LOL at Shannon painting her nails on the beach the night after the beach. And at Boone for running around and collecting a half-dozen pens and returning well after Jack had already revived Rose. And at Locke's creepy orange smile at Kate after she took the dead guy's shoes. 5. I had also forgotten Jack's 5-seconds-of-fear rule--they should try to work that into these last two seasons. 6. And finally (for now), is it just me, or was Sayid's accent a hell of a lot thicker season one? |

5. Well, there's only one season left, but they worked it into this past season when they showed us where he got it from. Plus it came up in season 3.
