who were supposed to be the "heroes" and wound up rooting for the supposed "villains" so...it kinda had an opposite effect for the last 2 episodes.But Sucks rooting for the sassy black girl and Azn loser isn't much of a shock - the general audience went with the Bob/Sugar/Matty as the good guys, based on the 'player of the season' award. If you wanted a likeable dork, you'd imaginary-cast Stephen - he was explicitly called geeky by Sandy, ended up flourishing in the wild and much more well-liked (by castmembers and viewers alike).

Heroes:Candice a hero? Even though she does deserve a medal of honor for actually having a personality on that season, the mutiny pretty much turned her off to most viewers. I must have missed the episode where Michelle saved a baby from a burning building. Likewise, I must have missed the episode where Sierra...did anything admirable. And I don't want to live in a world where Sugar is considered a hero and Courtney a villain

I meant like even my friends who were watching found themselves hating Sugar/Bob/kinda Matty by the end, and they're not exactly Sucksters. But well,

Was Jonny Fairplay a crowd favourite - No, but he still got put on the Favourites tribe. The Survivor casting team will use an appropriate amount of
flexibility when casting a season like Heroes vs Villains, as some people do not fit either side completely clearly. As long as they are good characters on the
season, it shouldn't really matter whether Todd, Kenny, Candice and Courtney etc. are on the Heroes or Villains tribe.
The people I've put on the Heroes tribe were for the most part viewed positively by the wider audience regardless of whether they actually acted like a hero or not, and the villains were regarded negatively. |

Just a Q, why do people seem eager to include pre-FvF contestants up to a certain point, but then no contestants from around Guatemala or earlier? Keep in mind
that Jonny Fairplay skipped All-Stars to be in Micronesia (a full 9 seasons later), so there is certainly a precedent for going far back for contestants. Apart
from Bobby Jon and Stephenie being in both seasons, I find it hard to believe that there'd be NO Guatemalans (or Palauans if you look at it that way) to
ever come back. (I fully agree though that the Fans from Micronesia are unlikely to return, as are already-repeated contestants.)
Taking everything into consideration, especially the fact that Good vs Evil was sort of the overarching theme of Gabon, I just find it unlikely this Heroes vs. Villains theme will happen (not only that, but almost all of the Gabonese contestants seemed to each have a mixture of good AND evil characteristics, so it'd be hard to divide them!). But I agree that there seems to be no other thematic way to bring back past contestants, unless you do a technical one (like, Second Chance/Medivacked or Runner-Up); race and gender have both been done before, and while religion is possible, I expect that for a freshly cast season. I have a feeling that there'll be another "Exile Island" type game-based twist which defines the season, rather than just the fact that they're returning castaways; in other words, it will be a type of test to see who can figure out the way to the end without there being any precedence to model after. This is essentially what all twists in the past have been like -- a surprise to the players causing them to strategically shift gears -- but what if there was some sort of defining new format, something to do with the way players are voted out or whatever, that all contestants are told about? Perhaps three tribes with different hierarchies and/or royalty that has to be earnt and creates some sort of immunity over several episodes, although the rich vs. poor thing has also been done before. Just some food for thought. |

As there hasn't been a full All-Stars season since season 8, we are assuming that they may bring back players from season 9 onwards. However, it is likely
that there would only be a small amount of players from about season 9-14 for two reasons:
1. The audience are more likely to remember the characters from the most recent seasons, thus some people won't remember all the players from the earlier seasons. 2. The number of big characters in seasons 9-14 was much less than seasons 15-18. The casting was lacklustre over this earlier period and thus the seasons weren't as highly regarded. Seasons 9-14 are regarded as the weak era of Survivor, whereas seasons 15-18 have seen the revival of Survivor with 3 very highly regarded seasons (China, Micronesia and Tocantins) and 1 pretty good season which contained many big characters who clearly fit the hero or villain stereotype (Gabon). I'd expect most characters to come from seasons 15-18 due to the big characters involved and the success of the seasons: China - Todd, Courtney, Peih-Gee (Despite being pre FvF, most of these players didn't really get a fair opportunity to be cast on that season as China was screened just before it. Micronesia - Erik, Natalie (Obviously only the fans are considered, and these 2 were the biggest characters from the fans - Erik clearly a good guy and Natalie a villain) Gabon - Sugar, Kenny, Randy, Corinne, (maybe Crystal) (Lots of big characters on this season and thes wuld be the 4 most likely to be included) Tocantins - Coach, Tyson, JT, Taj, Sierra (Again, a lot of big characters in a much liked season and these would probably be the 5 to be included with Coach and Tyson clearly the villains and JT, Taj and Sierra the heroes) This leaves a few spots left for the really big heroes and villains from seasons before China. These players would be included beause they only just missed a spot on Micronesia due to only 10 favourites being selected: Vanuatu - Twila (Big character should be included) Palau - Tom (Along with JT, probably the 2 biggest heroes in Survivor) Guatemala - Not really any (maybe Judd if one of the other villains declines) Panama - Shane (Would have been very close to being included in FvF, and surely would be included in this. Will be great to see Shane on a tribe with Cpach, Tyson, Randy and Dreamz) Cook Islands - Candice (I think she declined Micronesia because of study, but will hopefully be available for Heroes vs Villains) Fiji - Dreamz (Big villain who it would be interesting to see mix with the other villains such as Coach, Tyson, Randy and Shane) |

I doubt it would happen since RR/RW: Inferno 2 already did 'Good Guys' vs 'Bad Asses', but I support any idea that makes it more likely for
Judd/Shane/Randy/Coach/Tyson to all appear on the same season without just competing for 1-2 spots.

I can't see Heroes vs Villains happening, as MyPoody said, it is so fucking cheesey.
I reckon the next season of returning castaways will just be a straight up All Stars 2. But it may have a twist the format. |
