Love how the gown sets off her bazooms. This begs comparison with the Trenyce version; and thus far this season Syesha has fallen short. Slow start, soulful and stylish as she sways her hips in punctuation to the melody. Still slow into the first title line ... and it's actually reminding me more of Ike's first line than Tina's. Okay, she does a spin back and forth, and lets fly in quicktime. Nice effect visually. But that's where the vocal gets shallow. In one spot, the choir overpowers her for the doot-doot-doots. Sort-of like Cook's song: Nothing bad, but nothing to excite, either.

Randy: I'm laughing because what a difference a couple of weeks make. Syesha has showed up and she is in the zone! Nice going! You are showing the heat late in the competition, when you need it.
Paula: You look like a star. You started this competition as a pretty girl, and you have this magnetic presence. You feel it here, and you do it. Magic happens.
Simon: Syesha, I"m sorry to put a damper on things.
Syesha: It's okay.
Simon: For me, I thought it was just a bad shrieky version ...
