I liked it. He has a great voice - he's no pop star and I won't be voting for him, but he sounded good on that to me.

I can't remember hating so many people this late. Only David Cook is somewhat tolerable. Syesha is a phony little cunt.

I wish they'd turn Paula's mic off permanently.
Why did the mayor get to announce Archtard's but Syesha heard through a SMS? Syesha <3<3<3 Archtard |

Her voice sounds very rough.
This must be the first season where two out of the final three have no lower register. Waiting for the Cook overpraise. |

I don't like people singing Alicia Keys.

I loved Syesha on that. That was a million times better than Archie.

Syesha Mercado.
If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys (Randy) She says AK is her favorite artist, so maybe this is a softball. Or maybe it'll be too much pressure to live up to a legend, we'll see. The start, a little too understated, but the second line is better. She builds the dynamic toward the end of the stanza. But then, too soft again. It's sweet enough here, and indeed she was saving the ooomph. Perhaps she's been hearing how she's been screechy all season, because this volume is more controlled. Better than Archie's first song, although pitch was a little iffy in the melismatic end. A 7. Randy: I thought that'd work really well. I could see you beaming and smiling. I'm so happy you are peaking at the right time. That's why you are standing there as number 3. Paula: It's difficult to do an artist like Alicia. You look absolutely stunning. Simon: You sang that very well, Syesha. I wish Randy had chosen something where you would not sound like the original. Randy: Listen back, she changed quite a few notes! Simon: Not enough in my opinion, but it was good. |

Why didn't Syesha get her news from the a person!?!?
Not bad. I actually listen to the whole thing which is better than Archutard's first song. |

OK, I guess I heard something different. I didn't think Syesha was that good at all. Arch was kinda boring, but I thought he sang his song better than
Syesha.

So, Randy ... Syesha is supposed to take her 3rd place and go home?

Odd. They are being nice to Syesha. What's up? Maybe, they realize that Syesha has 10x the personality of the 2 Davids put together?

She sounded fine, she just never seemed to fully get into the song.
Now if Simon praises anyone tonight who sounds like the original, he'll be a hypocrite. I think his comments to Archtard and Syesha are more about who they aren't than their performances. Cook looks like he hates this song. |
