They were not fair to her tonight. And with all that said, Cook could be a surprising boot. Man is exhausted. eta: Cook has a Creep rendition out there. But the judges had their critiques written before she even performed. They were ready to praise Arch for everything and anything and blast Syesha for everything and anything.

His fanbase is way more into voting strategies. If they really cared about him, they wouldn't want him to win. Setting aside the fact that he's not my thing, the poor kid just isn't ready. Miley Cyrus can handle it at a young age. David A needs more time and more life experiences. But Simon has spoken--good but predictable, forgettable. The proper critique when you don't want to scare a rabid fanbase into even more voting.

I don't think anyone has it locked at this point, but it's obvious who Simon and Randy want. Man was Archie's #2 song exactly that...a steaming pile of #2! Syesha's singing Fever now. Seriously, while I doubt it is possible, I would prefer a Syesha/David C final 2 at this point. I don't like Syesha from her interviews, and I think she isn't the best we've seen, but the girl has done everything short of sing the national anthem to try to make F2 and she deserves it over Archie. But Cook better be F2, as well. And I actually think he would have a harder time beating Syesha. eta: It's almost like girls night in here, like the Survivor final 4. But no way am I Natalie. They showed his mom in the audience more than usual, Did a major close-up of the AC on his guitar, and they showed his Dad for the first time. (That I remember) I was wondering if his brother's condition took a turn for the worse, it certainly would make anyone distracted at the least. Not making excuses, it was really my first thought while watching the show. And the dismissal of Syesha tonight was so transparent. She had the best night out of all of them. He may not have an amazing night every time but when he is on, I'm glued to the set; he has presence. I think he has a great voice, obviously a talented musician and what some people see as being arrogant or cocky, I kinda just see him as extremely laid back and taking it all in; I don't sense any arrogance, I think he is just a cool, low key guy. On that note, if Syesha does NOT make the final two over that bland, squinty eyed, overrated little boy, I will screech. I can't stomach him anymore and what the judges don't realize is their OTT praise of him is taking away any possible kudos I may give him for having a decent voice and probably a nice little man at his tender years. They cry about originality and changing it up and this little pipsqueak sounds EXACTLY the same every stinking week except this week and his second song which just went to prove that he can't do anything but ballads. Syesha has completely improved upon herself cept with her I do get an a bit of a cocky vibe coming out from her and I do not think Paul liked her calling her girl, heh. But regardless, she sang great, she looked great. While I want Cook to win, Syesha earned her place as final two with him. That being said, if Cook does not win this season and if Archie does... as much as it will be hard not to watch again, I gotta be done with this show.

Their dopey comments and nonsense screaming bleed into the judges mic's and I want to beat them with Papa Archuletta's John Deere hat. Watch it again and see a filipinna with massive bow legs. Out on a Limb Songs - where's the originality? Fever? I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing? Such predictable shit. Sure I suppose ya gotta do songs people know, but man, to hear a female singer do '32 Flavors' by Ani DiFranco or 'The Greatest' by Cat Power? Or howzabout a guy doing 'There is a Light That Never Goes Out' by The Smiths? Or maybe 'Lazarus' by Porcupine Tree? People will dig them if the are sung correctly. 'Lazarus' may be the singularly most beautiful song ever recorded. The closest was Castro doing Jeff Buckley's version of 'Hallelujiah'

Anyway....and wholeheartedly concur that they need to assassinate every tweener screamer that is up there in the mosh pit.
