WTF did Germany ever do to TAR for it to keep getting such fucking appalling tasks?* (* don't mention the war)
"Find a puppet", "Go go-karting", "Find some roaming gnomes", "Hit each other with cakes" |

Maybe a Segway will be a task for next week.

That's probably the best one (unless you count Gus' beer-drinking), but both tasks were done entirely in a sound-stage instead of out among real people. |

It's just another example of the sorts of tasks that don't depend on the location at all - I think most people agree that the show is at its best when it throws the racers into a totally new environment. A leg where they spend most of it on a motorway, do some product placement in a field, then choose between two tasks with a bunch of actors doesn't really stand out in the way a trip to Langa Township did. Not that there's anything wrong with those sorts of tasks occasionally - it's more than Germany's easily been the most poorly used country every season it shows up. |

No, that goes to Singapore for any TAR or TARA season. But Singapoor is awful, while Germany has hundreds of years of unique culture <3 |

it's more than Germany's easily been the most poorly used country every season it shows up. The only decent thing about Argentina was Romber's elimination. And that's from 4-and-a-half legs. |

There were a lot of awesome tasks from Argentina. There's the meat RB (TAR7) and also the chocolate RB (TAR5). I think all the detour options in the
Argentinian legs of TAR5 were excellent.
And I just found out from checking these Argentinian legs that I'm not entirely familiar with the 2nd TAR7 one. Eep. |

The dog-walking/tango in TAR5 is one of my favourite Detour two-somes ever. At least it's had a fairly decent blend of adventure-sportsy tasks and
culturally relevant mental challenges. Germany just gets this goofy America's Funniest Home video crap.

I couldn't wait on Sunday (Monday Philippine time), but I have a TV time conflict between TAR14 and live coverage of Academy Awards.

I think all the detour options in the Argentinian legs of TAR5 were excellent. Volume eating is bad. Obsessive needle/haystack (combined with volume eating) is bad. Adventure sports are meh, considering they had the zipline in leg one and (depending on your sensibilities), the cattle whatever in leg two. [FWIW, I was about to say Tanzania.] |

Volume eating is bad.Normally, but the meatblock was one of the few interesting tasks in the whole of TAR7, in season where everything was "tie a stick to a car", "get in a boat" "go shopping" etc. Argentina > Chile > Brazil as far as the repeated South American countries go. The TAR11 Detours are easily better than anything they've ever done in Germany - famously the home of Jonathug's wife-shoving and the only country on a race route entirely bypassed by the winner |
