They have the creepiest fucking relationship on Earth. She raised her kid in a way that he can't communicate with anyone but her in most normal situations. Neither of them seem to have much of a problem with this. If anything, they act frustrated and annoyed by it, like it would be easier for everyone on Earth to learn sign language than for him to learn reading lips. They were set up as inspirational, wonderful people before the show even started simply because he was born with a disability. It's manipulative and should be offensive to them, but it clearly works because so many people here and even more in the general public ate it up and were proclaiming them the heroes of the universe halfway through the premiere. He's stupid. Did you see the "names" he attempted to spell out? And what did he do after making four (count em, FOUR) attempts with no prize or parade? He threw a hissyfit that would have embarrassed most 7 year olds I know. What would you think if a dreaded mactor had done that? I bet you would have had a problem with it. They're both entitled and dull. It's actually not so much even them I have a problem with as it is people like you. People saying terrible things about a team like Amanda and Kris is the norm here right? But when people said terrible things about Margie and Luke, they're *IGNORANT* according to you. You seem to think handicapped people should be treated differently than the rest of society. Sad Now shut the fuck up and go vote for Scott MacIntyre even though you don't really think he's a good singer while lecturing those around you on your superiority over them.

Just making their story arc so far all about Luke has been kind of annoying. That's the only thing I hate about them. Their edit. Not the team members themselves. Though next week might push me that way, finally.

You know what gives me the biggest thrill in your entire post? I haven't got the first fucking idea who Scott MacIntyre is, but you obviously do. I'm going to guess it's someone on American Idol, since you're suggesting I vote for them. I don't watch that crapfest. But apparently you do. Which amuses me no end. As for your reasons to hate Margie & Luke. Your reasons are irrational and unfounded. And dare I say, stupid. For one, thing, they have no control over how the show edits them, or how they're promoted, before or after the show. Hate CBS for that. Luke has said that he wishes other racers would make more of an attempt to communicate with him, not that he can't, and it frustrates him. It would frustrate me, too. As I said before, the other teams all seem to like them (including him) fine. They must be communicating somehow. I can see you're pretty ignorant regarding deaf people. Note I said ignorant. Not stupid. Ignorant means you have no knowledge of something. Rather like Luke being ignorant of Russian playwrights. Not stupid. Kind of like all the other racers who had just as much of a problem, but much less excuse for being so ignorant. As I said before, and you apparently failed to comprehend, I don't have a problem if anyone hates them for something they've done (Boggle Deluxe had a great reason). But to heap all this ugly abuse on him because he can't enunciate like a hearing person, that he speaks in sign language (which includes exaggerated facial expressions), just makes the people who do it look like shitheads. Look at the title of this thread. I find it beyond disgusting. I do think that handicapped people ought to be given allowances by society for their handicap, and if you think that's being treated differently, you're right. I think a handicapped person should get a parking spot by the door. But then, I hated Sarah (who was handicapped). But not because she couldn't run fast, or because they shoved her disability down our throats. It was her personality, and her asshole boyfriend that made me hate her. As for Amanda & Kris ... I've never said a bad word about them. I liked them a lot, and was really sorry to see them go. But for goodness sake. If you want to hate someone, how could anyone focus on someone other than that utterly hateable Victor?

If I'm a retard, then there's no possible way I would have been able to obtain my B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology and on top of it I've held an internship job with the military police at Fort Drum and currently working a kick-ass job for the Sheriff's Office. If I'm so retarded, I don't think I'd have made runner-up in BOTH of the online games (Survivor and The Mole) that I played in. You guys cry about how we can't lip-read or speak well? I fail to see how that directly affects you, nor is that however your problem. Not all of us are talented at it. That has to do a lot with how much we can hear. If people don't wanna learn how to lip-read or speak, then fine. It's their decision, not yours. Mind your own business, kthx. You expect us all to speak or lip-read, fine. Ok, how about u all learn sign language in return? That way we can reach a compromise and the world would be a place of peace in communication. But no, that will never happen bez we dont expect u all to do so. Why? 'Cause we all know that not all of you guys are talented at learning sign and we sure as well dont demand that everyone learns that language. We are understanding of that and we don't complain about that either, unlike u guys. We just get by the best we can. But no offense, some of u guys sure have made it very difficult on us to live our lives as normal as possible because of your own ignorance and narrow-minded bigotry. That's why some Deaf people feel they should set out and show the world that they can do anything so that they would have the chance to prove otherwise . I doubt everyone who hates Luke also hated Christy Smith and TAR:Asia Adrian Obviously some people use shock-value for the lulz, but Luke's a pretty shitty representative for the deaf community.
