They're doing the best they can and certainly Margie is no Peter out there exploiting her son and browbeating him, she does really care about him. But I don't like how the TAR editors/writers are depicting them--there's something very patronizing and condescending in the "inspirational" way they're being depicted and I hate that. Due to this edit, Luke is being depicted as this freakish man-child.

Learn to fucking read lips!!! I studdied sign language & sign language interpreting for 6 years and the general consensus when it comes to deaf education is learning to read lips, teaching them to talk varies depending on the school, but lip reading is the norm. He would have had to specifically choose not to learn.

That's a big part of why Adrian from TARA2 and Christy from Survivor: Amazon were able to read lips.

I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY! Why must the editors think we forget things so easily? This is becoming just as bad as The Rob & Amber Show (at least its second season was cancelled 1/3rd the way through TAR:AS.)

It is pretty much a rehash of Romber 2.0. with all the early airtime going to the gimmick team, with occasional focus on a big breakdown (Mirna/Victor), the loveable competent guy team (Chas/Mel&Mike) and the out-of-their-depth trainwreck (Frats/Linda&Steve), with no-one else getting any story. Unfortunately, I don't see this show getting cancelled for a while. It's also interesting there are virtually zero Margie/Luke insider videos, because all their footage goes into the show already. From the last two episodes all they have is the mat chat and another confessional about cake-throwing (some of which was used in the episode ); while Jaime/Cara had 4 in Ep #3 alone and Brad/Victoria have about 20 minutes worth.

Is every episode going to start of about how AMAZING, FANTASTIC, MIRACULOUS this team is? Every time I see that opening I feel like they are setting them up for a huge fall but it still hasn't happened yet. Luke has been deaf his whole life and he can't even read lips? He has to rely entirely on his mother to communicate in the world? It's time to cut the cord.
