Essentially it is what you said, they all acted the same way, basically what the Asian guy did and the Flight Attendant (I suck with names so far.) Kind of gave you insight to how close things actually are in the race.

I liked the changes and I appreciate the times to see how far eveyone really was. I always wondered how much edititng cut out. BTW it was obvious why it was so rushed. They had to show some of th emost hilarious TAR scenes with the cheese task!

It showed them doing the task, what order they were in, and how far apart they were - all in about ten seconds.

All you gotta do is go back to every season premiere and see how tedious and repetitive it was to see teams driving to the airport and then seeing some artificial drama when you know they're gonna get bunched anyway. The whole episode felt more urgent than previous premieres and the tension didn't feel as fake as before. and the new opening credits takes it to the same level of production values as that of Survivor. I'm on the fence on the new theme song though.

It looked as if-as if they had devoured it!...As if they'd torn or cut parts of it away with their hands, or with knives, or those jagged tin cans they made music with. As if they'd torn bits of it away in strips! There was no rattlesnake noise, tho. That means it was success, rite?! But srsly, wtf at not showing the teams reaching the airport? I can understand when everyone ends up on the same flight, but the test of driving to the airport normally helps you pick out who the stronger racers (and has great moments like Lake screwing up and ordering tickets over the phone <3) Thumbs up for the time-stamps, though I wish they'd put them in for the pitstop arrivals too. but that bore-ass TAR7 did? TAR7 needed a long premiere since all the good teams were gone by the halfway point. An extra hour of Ryan/Chuck > a season of Ron/Kelly. Last Edited By: A Dying Clown 02/16/09 5:05 AM. Besides, the two flights left at virtually the same time, and it was much more important as to which train station teams went to - which they gave a lot more emphasis, accordingly.

Because there's more drama there than one of Luke's 10 confessionals or all the time wasted at the bungee jump (since no-one ever refuses to do it, why show so much of the flight attendant stalling).

A 90-minute premiere ala TAR10 would've given some time to see what happened at the airport as well as giving the teams a bit of development. I liked what they did with their 44 minutes, though. They cut through the pointless crap at the airport... all that happens is that they line up, and everyone after the 6th team in line doesn't get on the fast flight. Big whoop. I liked the roadblock timer, and the new theme was pretty awesome. Still undecided on the split-screen. I can see its appeal, though.

I watched the first little bit and then went to do something else while all the airport "drama" occurred--then when I got back, I had to rewind the DVR because they moved right to something interesting. I'm hoping we get almost no airport scenes the whole show. And I also liked the multiple routes--it involves more thinking, so more of that please. And the CHEESE! So basically, you people prefer the old TAR editing? I can even summarize it for you. We spend so many time listening to teams on how excited they are to be in The Amazing Race, as they head off to LAX. Along the way, they brag and laugh every time they pass another car when in the end, they're gonna be on the same flight. Suspenseful music plays when the 7th placer team is in line for the first flight and then cue commercials when in fact, they're gonna be bunched up in their destination anyways. Seriously, aren't you all tired of that? The premiere was just awesome. You people who complain about it are PATHETIC. BEST.PREMIERE.EVER. XXX And BEST. FIRST. POST. EVER.
