he didn't ask if anyone wanted to play the idol, so i'm guessing the idol just for sierra and sandy has to be dead now. otherwise, very unfair to keep its existence from the others at tribal.

Probst wasn't shown asking for the idol because he knew Sandy didn't have it.
Sandy's idol is dead, but Sierra's idol remains in the game for now. |

Not the best premiere by any means (that honor goes to Amazon/Pearl Islands/China), but it's got me extremely hooked for the entire season. This cast is
dynamic and will bring the drama.

It was pretty good, I was kinda surprised.
I liked how they didn't show a ton of strategy, which is just so unnecessary the first episode. We got distinct moments from at least: JT, Carolina, Sandy, SierraGoddess, Tyson, Ben. With a fair amount of confessionals from Spencer, Taj, Jerry, and Erinn. Definitely makes me excited for next week as opposed to "oh great, some random chick got blindsided." Now I have Sierra's domination to look forward to! <3 |

The idols are not dead. Probst didn't ask for it because he knew it wasn't going to be played and there was no reason to reveal that twist to the rest
of the cast yet. The HII is there for surprises, after all. Next episode will feature more clues to the idols.
As for the premiere itself, I thought it was pretty dull, to be honest. Nobody stood out as a great character (except for Sandy, but she just got so much damn attention), and a lot of people just didn't get much of anything at all. It felt like a random, forgettable pre-merge filler episode, rather than the way to kick off the season. Not impressed in any sense, but hopefully things pick up next week. |

I honestly don't remember what was supposed to be so wonderful about the China premiere....I mean, it was good, but one of the best? Definitely not, Pearl
Islands wins easily with the village and the epic immunity challenge.

IMO it was one of the better premiers I can remember(although Gabon still rules all), although it did seem kind of out of the blue that Carolina was voted out,
I mean I knew they were strategizing about Sandy being more dedicated or whatever, but I wish they would have shown more of the decision to vote out Carolina,
cause it was kind of random.
