I am so confused. He was fucking awful and boring. Worst of the night. I don't know what the judges were smoking, but it was so dragged out and blah. They
just want a black guy to make the top 12, and inevitably, get 12th place.

YES.
It eludes me how Arianna pwned him in all vocal departments and yet he got the praise, despite him being miles more boring. Arianna unfairly got bashed for a flawless vocal performance just because she didn't sing some easy teeny bopper anthem. God I hate this show. |

They creamed themselves over the performance because it wasnt dreary at all. It was a well sung, very understated performance that worked perfectly for that
song. The only reason I wasnt completely blown away is because we had heard him sing it before, but it was a great performance IMO.

American Idol needs a token black guy. This guy was better than that shitty one from round 1, so they pimp him. His voice isn't bad at all, but it was just

I thought it was the complete opposite of boring, I thought it was really unique. I love someone who can deliver a compelling understated performance, not many
of the people they get on this show can do it.
I think most of the girls tonight had pleasant but boring voices that I've heard a million times. Oh well, different strokes for different folks and all that good stuff. |

My favorite of the night along with Lil Rounds. He was amazing!
Really impressive turnin' "Hey There Delilah" into something so soulful, IMO. Love him, and I hope he takes the 3rd spot, since I'd guess Lil Rounds/Scott are locks. |

Of the men so far, I like him the most shockingly enough, even though I had never noticed him before. His performance was perfectly restrained and nicely
controlled. It was good. I really hope he makes it in because he deserves it.
