Another example of bad writing. Why is no one even concerned that Malcolm has gone missing? Cal picked up his skull but his remains were not identified.
Minor characters like Maggie and Nikki have been speculated as the killer but that is because everyone else that is still alive seems to have at least one alibi. What reason does Nikki have to be at Candlewick anyway? She is not a wedding guest. The only reason that Shane is there was because he went there looking to kill JD.
I think that the person who is doing the killings is someone that wasn't shown in the episode (aside from Nikki). It could even be John Wakefield. Maybe he is actually Abby's father and referred himself as the sheriff to Madison in a sarcastic vein.
I'm still wondering why the mute gardener, Paul Fletcher, was introduced in episode 7. Just like when Cole Harkin mysteriously popped up in episode
5, I expect the gardener to be involved in the story in some context. Katherine was murdered with a gardening implement. Maybe we will find out in the
next episode that the gardener was conveniently murdered so that the killer could use his tools for future murders now that the whaling tools are no longer
at his disposal. There was that promo where Abby is accosted by someone with the chainsaw that the gardener used.
