I don't think anyone gave him Ns for that. I have given him consistent Ns for comments about liking to watch people cry and crushing their dreams. He's clearly not being edited as a nice person, and to be honest I don't think it's been that hard for the editors to convey that. I don't think Erinn deserves an N for making fun of people that the editing has consistently attempted to make us despise. Even if Coach was neutral this episode (which I personally don't think he was), I don't think that it erases any of the extreme negative building up to tonight. If he'd had some positive retribution or enlightenment scene that skewed the editing in his favor, perhaps Erinn would deserve an N, but I just didn't see it. Erinn was neutral to me. Erinn is N this episode, so stop letting your favoritism influence your vote on her edit. I certainly don't like Coach but he didn't come off negative, he just looked stupid for his weather predictions. Erinn simply picked on someone that didn't really deserve it this episode. Tyson's prediction of her being a bitch is coming to fruition in this episode, starting back from the Jerry boot. And again on Tyson's N from a few episodes back, he was SARCASTICALLY MAKING FUN OF COACH. Even with his discussion of crushing dreams, he is MIXED, not NEGATIVE. Erinn had NOTHING to balance out her one negative comment in the entire episode, ya know like maybe her being shown in a positive light in someway, so she is NEGATIVE. If all you remember of someone is them being malicious and calling someone else a jackass because they incorrectly predicted the weather, they'd get a N. But because it's the precious pretty, young, white girl of the season, you guys need to make her seem like this sweet chaste angel.

What they said was either profoundly game related (Tyson) or memorable enough it stole the show (Erinn). Erinn MOR 1\2 - best line of episode, gave her MOR impact, was not negatibe because it was backed by Coach wrongly predicting the weather and his previous buffery. Coach MORN 1\2 - said "it's about time" when he saw sandy gone, and weather comment plus Erinn continued his N edit. Tyspn MOR 1\2 Black tribe had no opportunity for fluff - no post-TC scene, no going on reward, no trip to TC. But Coach, Tyson, and Erinn had more meat in their scenes than Joe nattering on for Vis 3-4. The Exile alliance was editted as supremly confident, like they were about to take a fall. The fact that Taj was decoy boot mitigates the effect of that somewhat, they had to make up think Stephen might turn on her to create doubt at TC. Sierra, Erinn, and Stephen maintained their edgic position tonight. Stephen got a great stategic edit.. Taj is way too visible, Braendon doesn't get quality first-person insight despite being in the centre of EA. They go down JT morphed into Bobby Jon tonight, with his anger at the TC loss. Southern boy colorful character. Good episode for Tyson, being strategic and not N.

Yes, she was extremely quiet (1 sentence, 1 confessional) but her worldview via the edit is shrinking down to COACHtyson. That's all we got from her. Yes, we previously had some introspection, but how is she playing the game COACHtyson? I mean, everytime that COACHtyson says or acts dumb we are going to hear from COACHtyson Erinn? I don't mind quiet episodes from potential edgic winners. But this one, in its way, showed us the limitations of her edit so far. No doubt her lapdogs here will show us how this was the sine qua non of possible edits. I don't see it. p.s. COACHtyson

Sorry for pointing out that even people I like can be seen as negative and pointing out people that I hate are not coming off negative. I need to do a rewatch, I probably won't end up giving them 1s, even though I just put down a 1 for my Erinn rating out of convenience. When someone like Taj has 4 times the average visibility it really can makes the statistical ratings really misleading. For someone who looks at the old season charts for reference, like myself, it seems to imply that a rating of 1 means the player was a nonentity in the episode and Ben, Tyson and Erinn clearly weren't.

That's only true if you decide to completely disregard the entire season's edit prior to episode 5. Coach is the most consistently OTTN character in recent Survivor history. Even Corinne and Randy had their "good" moments. If this were the first episode of Tocantins and Coach didn't have a grand foundation of N edits under his feet, you might have a point. However, it's illogical to just dismiss all the edgically relevant info we've acquired thus far. I think the editors are using Erinn as a mouthpiece for the audience and the Timbira dissidents (like Candace) against Coach. She is being edited as a pretty city girl with a decent amount of brains and a will to survive that will take her deep into the merge, if not the end game.

Something goes down with those two. Erinn isn't winning. Perhaps the tribes go in 5/5 and Erinn is the one who crosses tribal lines to avoid purple rock.
